About Project MIKHAIL: A Muv-Luv War Story
-It’s Your Responsibility to Change the World-
Set on an Earth where mankind is being steadily annihilated by the alien invaders known as the BETA. Over the course of decades, humanity has come to rely on humanoid weapons called Tactical Surface Fighters in their attempts to resist the alien onslaught.
What choices will YOU make in a world that’s heading towards destruction?
Your actions will change the course of history for the whole world...
Right now, the game contains two modes: a playable story mode and Survival mode, an action/strategy hybrid game mode.
In Story Mode, the player takes the role of Shirogane Takeru, the hero of Muv-Luv Alternative.
Throughout the story, the player will be asked to make choices.
How the story ultimately ends depends on the choices the player makes.
In Story Mode, the player not only makes their own story, they also get to construct their own personal Tactical Surface Fighter mecha.
By defeating the BETA and putting together the parts they drop, they’ll get to make their own ultimate fighting machine.

A new mode that combines both action and strategy, as you take the role of a nameless surface pilot fighting to save humanity from the BETA threat.
Survival Mode is a unique game mode which takes place in worlds called “Potentialities”, where you’ll alternate between taking missions from five ideologically different factions and battling back the BETA as they march on Japan.

Each of the factions has their own agendas, and the choices you make might send the world spinning in an unexpected direction…
This mode also features challenging special missions where you explore specific enemy Hives and earn V-Cash (the in-game currency) for first-time clears and fast clears.
This mode has eight separate endings depending on the power balance between the different factions, the mission success rate, and the state of the BETA invasion.
There are also unique tactical surface fighters that are only available in survival mode!
Takemikazuchi \
Black Widow II Grey Ghost
Even after reaching an ending, the player’s skills, weapon proficiencies, and equipment will be carried over. There are also unique illustrations for the multiple endings.
After reaching an ending, you’ll be able to set the difficulty of the next Potentiality. Higher difficulties will give better item drops and allow for more powerful TSFs to be made. Survive the toughest battles and build the ultimate war machine!

Kusoge so pure I almost want to recommend it. Mikhail is a terrible game but, it is endearingly bad at points with strange additions to Muv-Luv such as poorly rigged V-Tuber models, new freaky character portraits and extremely rough action rpg mechanics. If I am going to give a single genuinely positive point to the game, its the sheer amount of TSFs from across the Muv-Luv franchise that make an appearance. They are not impressive 3d models but, they exist and it counts for something. For some reason this game retells the latter half of Muv-Luv Alternative with a lot of liberties taken. I don't know why they felt the need to do this rather than make something new up so we can get more than 3 locals. If you take a single look at this game you won't need me to tell you it does not do justice as a 3D visualization of Muv-Luv. A game on a shoestring budget like this cannot depict the scale of Muv-Luv no matter how good it is, so there was no reason to make it to begin with. Many other reviews say the controls are bad, I would thing they are playing on keyboard. On controller the game plays fine, though playing fine is holding RT as the hud locks onto every tank class individuall…1 found this helpful
Can barely control my mech. Keeps starting and stopping. Aiming is always auto lock on, so it's hard to pick targets. Dialogue is weird and unrealistic.1 found this helpful
(edit: some dudes are saying you can freely change camera angle, you can LOL just stop in place and hold middle mouse button then you can freely look around attack, do same to reverse it. Cash shop is... its shut down so all stuff is easy to grind. Also your mech has stamina bar so you need to do flybys be tactical, skills only unlock in main menu, player section at bottom left. Dont? you will pay in blood) This was the anime and mecha series that actually introduced me to grim dark genre as a school kid(but I found MuvLuv TEclipse after it was done airing long ago)so I will gladly buy sequel to this too, but funny thing when I saw the beta eating the pilot in anime and its description it made the WH40K and even other edgy bloody anime alright to watch for me lol. This game is great, I like what I am getting as TSF and beta fights. I DONT WANT THIS GAME OR MUV LUV TO BE ARMORED CORE, its fine as it is but if it improves on what it made here or becomes different gameplay thats cool too. This game gets fun once you get to unlocking skill, learn going in attacking and back from enemy. I just want more Muv Luv(and TSF control games like this)1 found this helpful
It's not that great, the cutscenes are just talking heads, except for the parts with the 2 cg characters. The gameplay is repetitive and boring, all missions play out the same. All you do is go around a bland, empty area killing enemies with poor ai. There is no change to this regardless of what the story says, no going to rescue someone, no try to get to a location, no nothing. Definitely not worth $201 found this helpful
i almost missed this because a lot of the reviews were pretty negative. it's not a perfect game but its still fun.
awful performance, tons of controls with just text tutorials.
