About Silent Gentlemen
✦ AI summary
Silent Gentleman is a turn-based JRPG where you lead Uther and his companions through dark dungeons beneath a tyrannical outpost, leveling up your team and gathering equipment to face increasingly dangerous threats. The game strips away lengthy storytelling to focus on classic dungeon crawling and strategic combat preparation.
STORY
Silent Gentleman is an RPG game set in a fictional guard outpost in the Dark Age. Uther, a young impoverished noble turned highwayman and informal protector of the weak, with his partner Oliveiro gets a mysterious letter. Signatory of the letter was Mathilde, a young noblewomen and Uther's childhood friend who went on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land few years ago. In it, Mathilde asks Uther to help her clean up a remote outpost which has fallen under tyranny of its Baron and his sinister companions. Never willing to leave a friend in trouble and let injustice go unpunished, Uther and Oliveiro set forth to right the wrongs in the long forgotten outpost.
GAMEPLAY
Silent Gentleman is a JRPG with turn based combat system. The game is not story rich nor it focuses much on dilougues as it does on good old fashion dungeon crawling. Point of the game is to level your team, equip it with both weapons, armor and items to prepare it to brave the dungeons below the mysterious ourpost.

A generic RPG which I did not mind playing until about 100 minutes in when I encountered a game breaking bug. When I entered the sewer (or basement?) I ended up on the first floor of the Inn instead resetting all NPC's in the Inn and preventing me from progressing. There are also very silly spelling mistakes. The developer didn't bother doing any bug checks before release.2 found this helpful

Silent Gentlemen is a retro-styled role-playing game developed by Cipher Hive and published by My Way Games. The title embraces the design philosophy of classic RPG Maker–style adventures, focusing on turn-based combat, dungeon exploration, and gradual character progression. Rather than presenting a large open world filled with branching narratives and cinematic storytelling, the game delivers a more compact role-playing experience centered on traditional mechanics. Its structure mirrors many older RPGs where the primary appeal lies in exploring dangerous environments, fighting monsters, and steadily improving the abilities of the party. The story introduces players to Uther, a young nobleman who has fallen into an unusual life of moral ambiguity. Although he once belonged to a respectable family, circumstances have led him down the path of robbing wealthy travelers along nearby roads. Unlike typical bandits, however, Uther believes he is redistributing wealth and protecting those who cannot defend themselves. His life changes when he receives a message from Mathilde, a childhood friend who has recently returned from a pilgrimage. Mathilde is trapped in a remote outpost where the …1 found this helpful

very cool pixel graphics, I'll love the detail and setting < but the game itself did not catch on, somehow it did not tighten the soul. Overall good
