What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise Eriksholm for its well-crafted stealth-puzzle gameplay, compelling story with memorable characters, and strong presentation including excellent facial animations. However, common complaints center on excessive hand-holding through dialogue explanations that persist too long and overly restrictive railroading that prevents creative problem-solving, with players noting the game becomes noticeably better once it eases off the guidance in the final third.
Really great stealth puzzle game. It is DIFFERENT from other stealth games and that is a good thing. Smaller areas, fewer tools, more story. Can nonetheless be tricky and clever.
Story based isometric stealth in a scandi-vibe detailed world. Pretty good I'd say! It's not mechanically deep but very atmospheric!
There is great depth in the simplicity of this game May we all reach our Apple Gardens
A great stealth game, gameplay and controls were spot on. With a good simple story at a great price.
Summary: finished playthrough, 14h with finding most collectibles This feels more like a puzzle game disguised with stealth gameplay. It seems similar to games like Commandos at first but has its focus on story and less on expansive levels with varying gameplay and character options. Pros: + very good cinematics + good music/soundtrack + beatifully detailed environments + overall interesting world and story + good voice acting Cons: - character abilites very limited - interaction with environments very limited (e.g. no hiding in crates etc.) - most situations leave you with very few options on how to approach them, mostly leaning in to 1/2-way solutions which left the impression that this is mostly a top-down puzzle adventure with stealth to progress - very linear and scripted situations (which got especially annoying in the last chapter unfortunately) - while there are similarities to games like Commandos it has a lot less variations and tools to work with - enemy detection of characters or bodies means game over for most of the missions and reload to checkpoint, not possible to save the situation with a good play or anything my verdict: 7/10, would recommend …
A truly beautiful isometric narrative / stealth game. The visuals are stunning and aside from being a visual pleasure, the world crafted here is very interesting as well. Gameplay is kept simple but thats not a bad thing. Its very well executed and makes for a fun game without convoluting things unneccessarily. For me this is just a very good game, no notes, no complaints. Try the demo. If you like the demo, youre gonna like the game and I encourage you to play it. Ran very well on my system, even during the summer heatwaves :)
