What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's challenging shmup gameplay, distinctive atmospheric presentation with Joy Division-inspired aesthetics, and innovative mechanics like the Mothership damage system and Boost mechanics that tie scoring to survival. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues including crashes at stage 3, resolution change bugs that force desktop returns, and poor Steam Deck compatibility, which frustrate players who otherwise appreciate the core experience.
Ok shooter where you fly above the clouds using your trusty mech. Controls are good. Different boss fights. You need to boost through the levels to get higher score which is necessary for better recovery between levels (yes bigger score gives more healing and extra missiles). Difficulty is hard, when you die you repeat whole game. Game is showing incoming danger so you know from which side enemies are about to approach. Music is good. Visually looks ok but a bit basic. When changing resolution game throws back to desktop (some critical bug I guess). Slight recommendation for shoot'em up enthusiasts.
18 found this helpful
Game is really cool but crashes at stage 3 and all the fixes I've tried don't work or cause more problems, so I can't recommend it3 found this helpful
Really wanted to love this game. The dev is clearly a fan of Joy Division (every stage is named for one of their songs), so we were off to a great start. It’s quite atmospheric, pairing dramatic scenes from an anime space battle with an OST that is by turns epic and delicate. The Mothership and Boost mechanics are also quite interesting. In any other shmup, missing an enemy doesn’t generally matter that much; here, every enemy that escapes deals damage to your mothership, and once its shields are gone, it’s game over. There is also a 3-minute time limit to each stage, which can easily be exceeded if you’re moving at normal speed, so you need to Boost through as much of the stage as possible (this also helps with score, which is needed for shield recovery between stages). Lot of interesting mechanics at play here. Unfortunately, the main weapons just aren’t a lot of fun. You have either a laser with a straight-on shot—no angles whatsoever, nor any upgrades—or a sword that can be slashed a few times or spun when held. Both are so limited that they offer basically nothing in terms of strategy or improvisation—just move to the appropriate Y levels in the order they appear, and if you…1 found this helpful

This game's demo made such an impact on my childhood just aesthetically and with the ost that I was super duper excited when I was finally able to purchase it. After all these years I still can't beat it lmao. One day. I promise I'll update this review when I do. Edit: GUESS WHAT GUYS.
Played this before it would eventually get released on steam. Great SHMUP with a unique graphical style accompanied by its challenging, yet rewarding gameplay. if this game would work on the steam deck (there's little to no information on getting this game to work in SteamOS) then that would be amazing. Anyone wanting to play a new shmup should definitely check this one out!
