About Mecha Blitz
In Mecha Blitz, players build mechs called 'Arbiters', and fight fast-paced, anime-inspired isometric top down shooter arena battles in both online multiplayer PvP and single player PvE game modes. Customize your robot fighter with a variety of parts, weapons and cosmetics. Upgrade your equipment, abilities and stats as you progress through the game! Armor up, Arbiter, and join us now!
Humanity was exiled from Earth by an alien force known as 'Ofania'. Seven Survivor Ships fled to the stars, but seeking to take back their home, they created powerful armored mecha warriors known as 'Arbiters'. You are one of their pilots - the core of a new fighting force, and the last hope of survival.

- Build and Customize your Mech. Choose over 100 parts, internals and weapons to build the Arbiter of your dreams. This number doesn't even include the various other cosmetic options!
- Craft and Create the Way you Play. Different loadouts and setups require different strategies and styles of fighting. From mobile glass cannons to sturdy armored fortresses, long-range snipers to close-range melee... which of these will you be on the battlefield?
- Single Player Arcade and other PvE Game modes. 1v1 ladder matches, survival, time attack, and boss challenges!
- Online Multiplayer PvP. Bring your creation online and fight other players in 1v1 duels! The game runs on rollback netcode!
- Couch Splitscreen. Or... fight your friends in offline splitscreen battles. Controllers required!
- Shop and Upgrades. Earn currency and upgrades by fighting and winning.

I mean, if you WANTED a boring, rigid, ugly, and unfinished version of Senko no Ronde, then here you go I guess. None of your default weapons are particularly fun to use, and in my short time I wasn't able to buy any that were fun either. The pace of combat is very jerky and offputting and the mechanics are incredibly barebones. Acceleration of Suguri 2 is a dollar less than this, and it's infinitely better(and I do NOT use that expression lightly. The first AoS is also better than Blitz, for that matter). I'm a big fan of the Shmup Fighter subgenre, and while there aren't many games in it, this is undoubtedly the worst one.3 found this helpful
TLDR 3/5, though if they fix the issues I’d score 4/5 I don’t normally do reviews but I like this game a lot and there isn’t much out there on it. I randomly stumbled across a post about this game on Reddit and bought it. This game has a similar style to the Custom Robo games…and if you are familiar with those titles, you will know the last of those games came out in the 2000’s. As such a game like this is welcome and Mecha Blitz is very fun to play. It has a retro vibe with the top down camera and 2D combat. If you’ve ever played Armored Core you’ll pick up the controls pretty fast. Like many games in the genre you can customize your mech with variety of parts and weapon. The game is pretty straight forward – kill the other guy before he kills you. The variety of weapons allows for a few different playstyles…you can be aggro in your opponents face or you can hang back and play more methodically managing your cooldowns. Aesthetically designs are pretty traditional super robot/mecha designs. There are a variety of game modes, including PvP and also single player arcade mode.
