STORY:
Set shortly after the demonic invasion on the UAC’s Martian research facility, you are the last known human survivor – until your death. Under a top-secret UAC operational contingency protocol, your consciousness is transferred to an artificial brain matrix. Your designated purpose: restore operational stability and use any means necessary to stop the onslaught of demons.

I wish I could give this a positive review, because [i]when it works[/i], it can be really good fun. Not quite as viscerally satisfying as the game it's based on, but not a bad time, especially if you can get it for cheap. It is absolutely little more than a tech demo, but it can be a fun tech demo. The key words though are [b][i]when it works.[/i][/b] The game is a technical mess, buggy and unstable, game breaking issues are unfortunately common, weapons not switching, weapons getting stuck and being unable to fire, doors not opening in spite of looking like they visually have, constantly getting stuck on terrain with smooth locomotion, falling through the world with teleportation. Crashing is also unfortunately common. The campaign is short, only about 2-3 hours, and there are it crashed at least once for each of those hours, though the last set of crashes I had where so persistant that the only workaround for them was restarting the level, restarting the headset, restarting the whole pc and then and only then did it finally stop crashing consistently at the same area. It's a frustrating mess to deal with only because it could be so much better if it just got even the tinie…4 found this helpful
Its alr ig, even thoug it uses alot of Doom 2016 maps which is kinda unoriginal, but i still had fun.1 found this helpful

Don't expect anything more than what it is. It's a simple, short spin off, with loads of rehash and reuse. Putting that aside. Despite what many people desire (fast paced run and gun), this game provides just enough. You're not supposed to be the DOOM Slayer, you aren't the DOOM Slayer, and thats fine. Equal guns, equal funs. If you want simple DOOM VR fun, this is that. Sure theres some extra tidbits here and there, but thats just adding to it. It's literally just DOOM, Virtual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Reality, man.
