There's a 99% that when someone says TAG Part One is bad, they suffer from a skill issue. This DLC isn't meant for newcomers or casuals, and I wouldn't have it any other way. This DLC very smoothly ups the difficulty by throwing more enemies at you, giving you harder areas to traverse while fighting, and introducing new, extremely tough enemies. DOOM Eternal is a game that gets better and better the harder it is, so by nature, this DLC is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. Rather than thinking of it as a DLC separated from the main game, think of it as direct continuation of not only the story of Eternal, obviously, but also as a direct continuation of the main game's gameplay and difficulty. This DLC starts at the level of difficulty that you'll find in the final level of the main game, and ramps up from there. Other than the fantastic gameplay, you've got some awesome set pieces, pretty good OST, although I miss the hell outta Mick Gordon, and even more lore reveals. While still pretty messy and contradictory, all of the lore pieces start to come together here. Bits and pieces that were teased and hinted at all the way in DOOM 2016 are answered, or begin to be answered. As what may very well be …1 found this helpful
No thank you
It's pretty good, however I think there are too few maps, and those are too long They should have released this and part 2 combined, they shouldn't have made these separate DLCs The difficulty: It's either so hard, I pee blood, or it's so easy, I can basically play without worrying about dying Other than these issues, it's pretty good
Gameplay wise there is not anything new except for 3 new enemy types and 2 new bosses but basically offers more levels if you wanted more content beyond the main campaign.
Worth it. It´s a great DLC but it does not hold back in terms of difficulty. You will only enjoy this if you played Doom Eternal multiple times on high difficulty. Do not buy this because you want to casually play all the Doom Eternal content for the sake of doing it.
