Game is fun but the dev hasn't responded to anyone since December 2020. There are lots of things that need to be worked on. Save your money unless it's on a super sale.3 found this helpful
Definitely recommend, Hidden Valley TD offers a unique take on the TD genre. The initial random open map layout keeps the game fresh every time, and avoids the staleness that inevitably comes at the start of all other TD's when you die. The skill tree adds even more depth to the game, giving you more freedom to craft your best possible strategy. Having grown up on RPG's, the skill tree alone takes a slice from that genre and allows for endless replay value. The game is fairly difficult but the first few levels do a great job of teaching you all of the in's and out's. All of this along with the quirky art style really makes Hidden Valley feel like one of those games that's made by the fans, for the fans.3 found this helpful
It's pretty fun, a little bit of a bummer that there's no progression that you keep since each game is new. One major problem is past level 28 I started to see the frame rate drop and at level 33 it became a slide show. I can't recommend this game until they get that sorted out. My eyes are actually hurting from the stuttering and skipping.3 found this helpful
Highly enjoyable tower defense title. After a couple of initial hiccoughs my first run (to level 27) took me about 90 minutes (albeit with minimal speedups). Has the advantage that you can save the run at any time .Looking forward to trying again with the increased "knowledge" I have picked up.Would not mind seeing a "repair all" button.3 found this helpful
Very fun twist on the TD genre. I've played TD games a lot but this game includes unique mechanics such as artifacts and a manipulatable environment that keeps the game fresh. Each run is different as the artifacts change up your play style and how you shape your environment dictates where the mobs go. The bosses are all different sizes so you need to make sure you leave enough room for them too. It's actually pretty challenging but rewarding. There are unique tower upgrades and tower types that make each run different based on how you go down the research tree. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys TD games or wants to try one!2 found this helpful
Very good game! I hope there will be some updates in the future. This game still has the potential to evolve but it is playable.1 found this helpful
