About Molten Armor

Molten Armor is an action tower defense game with a non-linear story in sci-fi setting!
Command defenses and stop hordes of enemies! Fight on land, sea and in the skies!
Decisions taken in the heat of battle will change the course of the war.
The history of the game unfolds on a remote planet Marina - one of the colonies of the Earth Empire, the conflict on which turned into a full-fledged long-term struggle for influence, territory and wealth of the planet. In the game you will take on the role of the brave commander of the defensive unit, who, in the course of the game, will often need to make a difficult choice. What will your decisions lead to - only time will tell, and now is the time to stop the enemy with the firepower of your turrets!

  • Nonlinearity - depending on your choices, different scenarios will be opened with unique levels - besides visual differences (cities, deserts, snow-covered forests), you can take part in a sea battle, escape from enemies on the train through the desert and go on a bomber flight, shooting enemies from all sides.
  • Story - your decisions will influence not only the war itself but will also change fates of your squad mates. They can leave your squad, die or join enemy ranks, thus leading you to one of four endings.
  • Active participation in battle - you can't just build towers and watch the battlefield passively. Key to victory lies in constant buffing you turrets and cleverly using special abilities.
  • Diverse gameplay - from defending evacuation convoys and participating in an ambush to breaking through enemy defenses and fighting giant bosses.
  • Heroes - in addition to the player, storyline develops around several persons, who actively participate in both dialogs and combat - each of them can be sent into the battle. Sniper, machine gunner and even a flamethrower tank will aid you with defeating enemies.
  • Special abilities - In addition to building guns on the battlefield, in the arsenal of defense there are barricades, slowing down nets, mines, rockets and even a tactical slowdown!
  • Weapons specialisation - different towers work better agains different enemies. For example, a machine gun will do nicely against infantry, and cannons will lay waste to enemy tanks.
  • Hardcore - this game will make you sweat, but if you want to have some casual fun, you can always select the easy mode.

Not very fun. The core of any game is decision making, and in game there aren't many. The placement of every gun, barricade, mine etc is predetermined, and the spots are filled fast. The guns upgrade once, with no variety in options. The game implies that by placing barricades, you can route the enemy to longer paths, but it isn't true, they just plow into the barricades. They do take damage, but they don't take a longer path. Also, this may be a coincidence but ever since I installed this game, I have been getting weird error messages on my computer. Going to uninstall, it wasn't any fun anyway.

NON-LINEAR STORY CAMPAIGN! NON-LINEAR STORY CAMPAIGN! NON-LINEAR STORY CAMPAIGN! No one cares. Tedious, uninspired, and frankly outperformed in every way by a legion of free-to-play flash games. I promise you, you have better things to do with your time and money.

The most sh*tty interface I've ever saw in tower defence. Why this gays launch an enemy attack without giving time to put turrets? Why the very first mission is utterly lost because I can't see where can I place turretson second road? Why the tower is accidently sold? No value of this piece of code at all.

Molten Armor is a science-fiction tower defense title developed and published by Brutal Muse that aims to deliver far more than the genre’s usual formula of building turrets and waiting for enemy waves to arrive. Set on the embattled colony world of Marina, the game places players in the role of a military commander caught in a lengthy and increasingly desperate conflict. While tower defense mechanics form the foundation of the experience, the game distinguishes itself through its emphasis on narrative choices, squad management, and battlefield tactics that influence both the story and the outcome of the war. One of the most impressive aspects of Molten Armor is its branching campaign structure. Rather than presenting a straightforward sequence of missions, the game allows players to make decisions that shape the direction of the conflict. These choices affect which battles become available, how certain characters develop, and ultimately which ending players receive. The result is a campaign that feels dynamic and encourages multiple playthroughs. The storyline gains additional weight because the soldiers under your command are more than disposable units. Their survival, loyalty, …

I really like tower defense games, but this one didn't do it for it. Complete with poorly defined paths, a relative inability to shape enemy paths, waves of cannon fodder that go on ***forever***, and endings where no matter how well you play, you still lose via 'cutscene'. Maybe I expected too much, but this game disappointed me on most levels.

Absolute trash. The dialogue is incoherent and some isn't translated, it's not always clear what you have to do, there are four tower types total (Cannon, shotgun, machinegun, antiair), the 'non-linear' thing refers to choices you get at the end of some missions and then, if you want to play a different branch, you need to go replay the mission again and make the opposite choice so you'd better remember which choice you made each time and sometimes those choices aren't translated so, you know, good luck with THAT. It's tedious, it's annoying, there are dozens of better options out there. Skip this one with enthusiasm. I wish I had.
