Anomaly: Warzone Earth

Flipping the tower defense genre on its head sounded like a brilliant idea, but the execution here is just tedious. Instead of building defenses, you guide a convoy through preset paths, which quickly boils down to watching a slow-moving line crawl across the screen while babysitting it with basic ability drops. The lack of direct unit control makes the tactical planning feel completely passive and unengaging after the first hour. It turns what should be an action-packed strategy game into a boring exercise in route management.

A good game that stands out from the usual tower defense formula. Instead of building defense, you lead an attacking squad through ennemy defenses.
