Flipping the tower defense genre on its head sounded like a brilliant idea, but the execution here is just tedious. Instead of building defenses, you guide a convoy through preset paths, which quickly boils down to watching a slow-moving line crawl across the screen while babysitting it with basic ability drops. The lack of direct unit control makes the tactical planning feel completely passive and unengaging after the first hour. It turns what should be an action-packed strategy game into a boring exercise in route management.6 found this helpful
This game puts a unique twist on the tower defense genre by having you lead the attack instead of building defenses. Planning routes and supporting your convoy is more engaging than expected, although some levels become quite challenging as you progress. Overall, it's a fun game with a fresh and creative concept. 8.5/101 found this helpful
Reverse TD game where you need to protect a convoy from enemy towers. Interesting idea.1 found this helpful
As a tower defense fan, I found Anomaly enjoyable at first, but it simply can't compete with the many better options available today. The content doesn't justify the price, and it lacks the depth and polish of modern tower defense games. Not recommended.
When you have limited resources, money and enemies keep getting more and more powerful... I find myself wanting restart from the last checkpoint
No windowed mode and steam launch options or other tricks not involving 3rd party programs doesn't work either. Unacceptable.
