8/10
(for its time) First game that I have ever played. Great rts game, ddespite its age, it’s still very enjoyable thanks to the unit variety, movement, deployment options, and overall maneuvering. the campaign is good, you can still enjoy it. Very impressive that it still runs on modern pcs unlike some other old games where you need patches22 found this helpful
Nostalgia carries this tactical RTS a lot, but the rigid unit controls and punishing difficulty spikes can drain the fun fast. Positioning matters a ton, which is cool, but modern quality-of-life features are sorely missed. It’s okay for a quick tactical nostalgia trip, but it wears out its welcome quickly.5 found this helpful
Praetorians is a historical real-time strategy game developed by Pyro Studios and published on Steam by Kalypso Media Digital that approaches warfare very differently from many strategy titles of its era. good old game
Great game, great memories.
Another old but gold must for any RTS fan. - A classic which focuses on the Roman Empire. - Simple UI, easy unit control - 3 civilisation choices - Nice visuals for it's time - Strategy matters - Battles will take primary focus, as opposed to resources. - You will need to move and co-ordinate your troops well. - Using the right unit will make a difference - Good campaign Overall 8/10
