Praetorians is set amidst the political machinations of an emerging Roman Empire. Prove your worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theaters of Gaul and finally the heart of the Empire itself in Italy, in the crusade to become Emperor.
Your quest will not be an easy one, as the Empire is heavily defended by thousands of different troop types and war machines, all with special skills and individual strengths. To emerge victorious, you’ll need to learn to combine your units and exploit the weaknesses of your enemies. But beware – the closer you get to the Emperor, the closer you get to facing the Praetorian Guard – the most powerful and deadly fighting force in the Empire!

[b]This, along with Imperial Glory, were amazing games from my childhood. I spent many hours playing them as a kid. Pyro Studios (spanish developers by the way) made incredible games back then. In fact, I am proud to be spanish myself and say loud and clear that the games made by this studio were true masterpieces. The combination of the game mechanics, fluid gameplay and soundtrack make them incredible games to spend your time with. Very addictive too. I received this game as a gift from a good friend :). Near perfect remaster of the original classic. Better visuals, resolutions and absolutely no hassle: just hit play and take command of your troops. If you liked the game back then there's no mistake — you'll love it. If you're a prospective new player you'll barely notice this game is over 20 years old. One of the timeless jewels of early 2000's RTS's.
the game is so good to play beacuse it gives a vibe of early empire wars
excellent game especially considering the fact that it came in 2003. To the game makers when you remastered the game why not put more campaigns?
