Really tuff game However a little too short for my liking even for an arcade bullet hell game. Really tight controls and the enemy waves are interesting. Have yet to try out the survivor mode but I have beaten the game on classic and reached the final boss on hardcore. Definitely worth getting especially if on sale.1 found this helpful
It was good I am not amazing at these types of games but I really liked what I played1 found this helpful
Fun and addictive! A nice little schmup with great electronic music from Savant.
Huge step up from the original game, that had the first 3 levels of remix. Pros: * Responsive movement, doublejump was a much needed addition * Fun enemy formations and movement * Cool effects * CD chests now don't need minutes to open Cons: * Still short with the added levels
Never saw anyone talk about this game, so I feel compelled to leave a review. I often feel games are far too bloated, having too many ideas to distil down into a tight package. This is not one of those games. The core idea is simple and executed perfectly. It is short, but I always feel its better to leave you wanting more than to outstay its welcome. It seems like theres plenty to do post game also. Needless to say, its beautiful, but the gameplay matches it stride for stride with a rhythmic quality that will have you bouncing along to the amazing soundtrack. I bought it on sale, at steep discount and I now feel I've somehow conned the devs. Genuinely fantastic. You should probably give it a chance and hopefully have a great time too
While Savant: Ascent was already an intriguing game, this remaster greatly improves on the flaws of the original. The gameplay feels better, smoother, and also comes equipped with different difficulty modes this time around. Several other things such as sound effects, enemies and the soundtrack were improved on, too. I had fun with this just for liking Savant's music, even though I usually don't touch this genre of game. Its short length is yet another positive, encouraging you to grind for high scores and adding some replayability value.
