If you’ve ever played a survivor-style game before, you’ve essentially played them all. The core idea is simple. You move around the arena, dodge enemies and their projectiles, and collect various goodies. The genre is extremely accessible thanks to auto targeting and aiming, although you first need to enable it in the settings. After that, everything follows a familiar formula. At the start, you choose your loadout and stage. All eight stages are available immediately, but they are not particularly exciting. Each one is basically a flat arena with different colors and occasional assets meant to represent environments like forests, deserts, winter landscapes, and similar settings. There are no obstacles, and you can walk through everything. Next, you choose between two modes. Survivor mode requires you to stay alive for a set number of minutes to win the run. Wave mode ends once you defeat every wave of enemies. In both modes, enemies attack frequently, and their strikes are telegraphed by red markings on the ground.
