Before i get into the review i must say i was having quite a bit of fun for several hours, but by the end the game kept dragging on and eventually became so incredibly difficult that i had to give up. I always base my reviews on wether or not it is worth picking up the game to beat it (untill the credits roll). So for this game i would say no, i do not recommend it. However if you're literally a gaming god, or if quitting a game halfway doesn't bother you, you could still pick this up. On sale the game is pretty cheap, you can pick up the soundtrack along with it in a bundle or seperately. The OST i recommend picking up in any case as it's really good! For regular gamers or completionists like me i'd say pass up on the game, it's not special enough to be worthwhile. I'm gonna discuss the many flaws this game has as well as some of it's strenghts. The main gripe i have with this game is the balance, mainly that it's all over the place... Ranging from super easy bosses/enemies to harder ones you can safespot. looks promising, but there is no option to disable fullscreen mode, therefore it's lagging and has low fps. adding window mode would fix all of this issues. (and yes, my system fits the minimum requirements)

the most overlooked mv that i own. i own about 200 of them. great atmosphere challenging shmup / twin stick combat. slick graphics. understated soundtrack. brutal but rewarding bosses. lots of love went into this one. i hope the dev catches a break the games are on point

Another game my brother assisted with, this one I observed enough to say it definitely seems fun. That said, it is unpolished, there are minor and major bugs that become readily apparent if you don't play just right. Like the game crashing so hard we had to restart the pc to break out of because he pushed a block as he shot a button to switch open doors. In fact, that puzzle doesn't feel play tested at all, considering you can get stuck and need to reset the puzzle even if you did everything you could properly because of positioning so precise you can't do anything about it. In addition, there is a buggy item combo that kind of breaks how the game looks at your special energy, allowing you to overuse skills, but also it randomly takes all of your energy at times. Despite that, I think I can still recommend it if you look past it. I think, to me, it looked to be around a 6.5/10, good, but not great.

I liked this game. It has it's fair share of issues, don't get me wrong. There are some big difficulty spikes and balance issues, but overall I'd say it's a fun challenge if you can deal with the rough parts.
