About the 9th day:第九日

It happened on ordinary day, a very ordinary day, when Shyou’s typical daily life came to a sudden close.

One day the High School attendant went to rescue a sweet young girl who was stuck between flames, but whilst doing so his life ended in that blazing tomb.

It would seem that his curtains were about to close for good after this tragic scene, however that incident actually became the very start of the story.

Unexpectedly, Shyou remained in existence, although as nothing more than a soul, unable to escape from this world.
He had a strange vision of his past, a strange dream.

Within this dream, it was autumn. The season’s winds took hold of the leaves and carried them away from the trees, gently letting them descent on a crossroad and filling it. In the midst of the winds and those leaves, at the very intersection stood a figure, a girl.
Shyou felt strong emotions. He had a strong connection with her, he knew her, but he didn’t recognize her.

Who was she?

“Well, you've been given nine days to fulfil what you desire.”
That is what a young ethereal glowing girl, who claimed to be a messenger of death told Shyou after appearing before him.

Saki, the young kind hearted girl with albinism.
Maki, the cheerful and lively Student Union President.
Mai, that active and healthy girl who helps her father run a game shop.
Suzu, the psychic of the shrine with the ability to see souls.

Four different girls, four different personalities, but which one of them is truly the one with the strongest bond with Shyou?
The story of The 9th Day, that started with the autumn fire incident, begins here…

The 9th Day: 第九日 is a narrative-focused visual novel by Lingtan Studio that builds its entire identity around emotional storytelling, restrained pacing, and a supernatural premise rooted in human regret. It does not attempt to reinvent the genre or introduce complex gameplay systems; instead, it leans fully into the strength of its writing and atmosphere, presenting a story about a man caught between life and death who is given a limited window to confront the relationships and feelings he left unresolved. This sense of urgency—both temporal and emotional—becomes the defining thread that ties the experience together. The story begins with the protagonist, Shyou, dying in an accident while trying to save someone, only to find himself lingering in a liminal state rather than passing on. From there, the narrative introduces the central mechanic: he is granted nine days to revisit the world, reconnect with people from his past, and ultimately come to terms with what he left behind. This structure gives the game a natural sense of progression, with each day functioning as both a narrative chapter and a countdown toward an inevitable conclusion. The limited timeframe adds weight to ever…

To be honest, it's far from a good idea to make a game that has no contact with the native country. Just like I'm a ♥♥♥ but I'm trying to make a game which took place in Russia, for which I even invited ♥♥♥ CVs to speak Russian in game. It's the only problem of the game, but it made me awkward when I played, I always feel that I am not even playing with a Chinese-native Galgame. Well, what to say, the game mode is quite unique, Apparently the game used"Recalling mode", kind of like the song <En dag tilbage>. Such mode dicided that the game meant to be a tragedy. But tragedy is not a bad choice, I mean. Graphics and music are great! The characters are cute and made me enjoyed it. CVs are quite nice since CVs are just Chinese speaking Japanese. Nothing more to say. But to be honest , if the game made it took place in China will be MUCH BETTER than now....Since I'm a Chinese, I will feel better if the game echos me. (What's more, the game's ending is a nasty surprise)
