The game is fairly straightforward, and its controls are quite accessible. While the mechanics are familiar, they function well. It's commendable that they've managed to release a game of this scale. The monsters vary in difficulty, and the weapons are simple. For a casual player like myself, it's a nice modern take on the arcade genre. The price of the game didn't bother me, especially since it supports independent gaming. I understand it's much more complex to implement, but a leaderboard featuring other players to provide a general ranking for the gaming session would be fantastic. I've really enjoyed having a few gaming sessions. "Blast Them All" is a simple consoley/mobileish wave survival top down shooter with cartoony 3D graphics that would look right at home on an iPhone game. Shoot waves of enemies and uh... that's it. A rather shallow experience, unfortunately. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this don't understand that. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try.…1 found this helpful
fun shooter game
After about wave 13 or 10-15 minutes. You basically seen everything this game has to offer. It's a free game made by 3 people so as free I recommend it. But you only really going to get 20 minutes of enjoyment then you likely move on. Cons: There are different enemy types but the all of AI is basically the same. Spawn and path directly to the player. They vary in different health types, with some ranged but the AI pathing is all the same (Spawn and directly path to the player). The difficulty ramps up by spawning more around you and in combination with circular level that changes but really doesnt vary much at all to keep it interesting. It just seems unfinished or very flat experience. Pros: Has some pretty cool level load in change system, the random upgrades after each round is interesting. and The environmental hazards are cool but don't vary that much just visual changes. Seems polished enough to be on steam but is very bare bones for a release. I didn't experience any bugs I could tell so its packaged up nicely. all n all, its cool. and its free. It does feel like a existing unreal engine or unity project asset flip more than a fleshed out game. The leaderboards also s…
