Dead game. Premium currency shop is disabled. No precontructed decks on starting up the game. Cards just look terrible. Not the art, I mean thats bad too, but the framing of the card and its text is textbook bad. Look up bad, you'll see 12 half-dead grandpas.

Sadly a dead game

Blightfell comes out of nowhere as a fledgling Strategic PvP-only Autobattler and hit the right spots. The game features easy-to-learn mechanics that allow for great variation and depth in how your cards interact with each other, your board as a whole and your opponents board. Card placement is key each round, predicting your opponents moves as best you can and trying to counter them. Try it out!

Blightfell is a small card battler that I found pretty interesting once I started getting into the way its matches work. It is a free to play strategy game where I choose a House, build a deck and then summon minions to fight against another player. The idea is fairly straightforward, but I liked that the game puts most of its focus on making good decisions rather than burying everything under a huge number of systems. The deckbuilding is probably my favourite part. Choosing a House gives me a starting direction for how I want to play, and then I can build my deck around that style. I enjoyed thinking about which cards work well together instead of simply picking whatever looks strongest individually. There is something satisfying about putting together a deck that makes sense and then seeing the cards actually work together during a match. Combat is handled through the minions I summon onto the field. Rather than directly controlling them, I have to think about what I summon and how the different pieces can combine before letting the battle play out.
