About ClayTown Horror Part One
Enter into the twisted Dollhouse and experience the terrors within. ClayTown Horror is a Single-player horror game with a focus on story, puzzles, and a unique art-style.
Monsters and mayhem roam the halls of this home and, in this first half of ClayTown Horror, you will come face to face with many of them. Use all the tools at your disposal and fight back against the evils of this place. Oh, and if you can, try and find out for yourself the mystery of what has happened in this quiet hilltop house.
Want to know more, huh? Well in that case, I'll leave you with a dear resident of ClayTown; he knows the area quite well. Do enjoy your stay here, and we'll talk again soon.
Not many people come here, so it's quite nice to see you.
Though I must say...
You sure are tempting fate coming here.
ClayTown isn't what it used to be.
Friendly faces? Lovely Art? Life in the heart of nature?
All dead ideas.
But don't fret, there's still plenty to see.
I hear you're interested in ghost stories?
Then why don't you go to that old estate.
Mystery, Horror, Consequences,
you'll find all of that and more up there.

Huh? Is it safe to go up there?
There's nothing to be afraid of friend;
why, I've gone up there a few times as well.
a̷nd I'm perfectly fine
Doesn't matter if you think so or not,
we both know you'll go up there.

Oh, I do hope your wit is as big as your curiosity.
That estate is a tricky thing to explore.
Keys and Puzzles, Notes and Riddles
Its residents are quite a secretive bunch.

Oh yes the residents, don't mind them.
They're a little shy at first, but they'll warm up to you.
So don't let their callousness offend you,
I assure you they'd love to pick your brain.

Well friend, that's all from me.
Stay safe up there,
and don't get too overwhelmed
I hope you enjoy your stay,

Definitely enjoyed the game, playing it all the way through was a blast and I loved the twists and different challenges of some of the parts. The way different types of games are mixed and thrown in is awesome, BUT, the game left me wanting more. I want to keep going and exploring. It definitely needs more content, or else you're left with a thirst for more of it right after. Overall though, for my first time playing a horror game through, it was great.2 found this helpful
This game is unique and the style is different. There are a bunch of little puzzles and things to read that build onto the story. This game did make me jump a few times though, I think it isn't too scary. There are parts of this game that I thought were difficult and one of the puzzles was also confusing to the point that I looked up the answer online. I ran into a bug when I was dying I ran through an autosave so when I loaded back in the audio wasn't working and I had to restart. But other than that the game was pretty decent. I would have loved to have the whole game released as one also but that's just me being picky. I love how unique this game is and will be waiting for more!1 found this helpful
One of the highlights of ClayTown Horror is its intricate puzzles. From deciphering cryptic riddles to manipulating objects in the environment, each puzzle feels satisfyingly challenging yet rewarding to solve. The game strikes a great balance, ensuring that the puzzles are neither too simplistic nor frustratingly difficult, making it accessible to a wide range of players. Without spoiling too much the variety of puzzles felt just right. The storytelling in ClayTown Horror is exceptional. The dark and foreboding atmosphere is expertly crafted, enveloping players in an eerie sense of dread throughout their exploration. As you delve deeper into the secrets of the estate, the narrative unfolds, revealing a grisly mystery that keeps you engrossed until the very end. The attention to detail in the storytelling is commendable, with rich lore and subtle hints that gradually build suspense and intrigue. One unique feature of ClayTown Horror is the ability to look through keyholes. This adds a layer of anticipation and suspense, as you never know what horrors or secrets might await on the other side. It's a small but effective mechanic that enhances the immersion and keeps you constantly …1 found this helpful
PLAY THIS GAME!!!PERIOD!!!!1 found this helpful
I've had this on my desktop for a long while and I'm so mad that I hadn't played it earlier! This was a delightful surprise, and took turns I wasn't expecting it to. Having seen the demo originally it was awsome to see this game reach the state it is in now. The visuals and (purposefully) jittery animations are so charming, and I do love a little puzzle here and there. I'm not entirely sure where the narrative is going, or who we are in relation to it, and the ending was rather abrupt albeit incredibly intriguing. But those points might all be due to only being the first half of the story. Regardless, the mystery of the characters and environment have me wanting to investigate and learn more, so it's got my sticker of approval! I did experience a couple of bugs that required me to exit to the menu in order to resume because I'd just freeze in place and be unable to move. I think it was caused when I hit 'esc' instead of tab while reading notes? Having also seen the demo, and had the 'visual cues' ticked in settings I was sometimes overlooking things I needed because I was searching for the mist and whispers used to lure you to items. I don't know if that was removed or if I've j…
The games great! and I was able to bear it without those hard ass statue things up my back! sheesh.. it feels a lot different tho, like hopefully there could be an available demo or an hard mode with those statues back.
