About Greed's Grub

Greed's Grub is a first-person horror game where you must craft burgers for nightmarish and goofy customers in a hellish diner, facing terrifying challenges for five days in order to survive.

You don’t remember exactly what you did, just that it had to have been real bad, if this was your punishment. Five days of community service in this greasy, rotting excuse for a burger joint. Just five days, and you’re free. That’s all you have to endure.

Outlast Your Horrific Customers

Serve up burgers to the most weirdest and nastiest customers from the depths of hell.

Cook, Cook, Cook.

Grill, assemble, and pray for five days straight at a cursed burger joint. Each day is more intense than the last.

Beware the Boss from Hell

The boss is watching, and failure isn’t an option. Keep your grill hot and your wits sharper, or face the consequences. This is an ongoing solo-developed project, created in just 3–4ish months of work. It’s still evolving, and player feedback is greatly appreciated as development continues. Expect regular updates, new features, and improvements based on community input. Your support and suggestions help shape the future of the game.

Greed’s Grub is one of those games that looks silly and low-stakes at first, and then slowly tightens its grip on you until you realize you’re genuinely stressed out over a burger order. The kitchen is incredibly well done. The lighting is dim and grimy, and there’s a constant sense that you’re being watched, judged, and one mistake away from serious consequences. The game understands that horror doesn’t need constant jump scares; it thrives on unease, anticipation, and the feeling of being trapped somewhere you can’t escape until your sentence is served. The core gameplay revolves around cooking burgers: grilling patties, assembling orders, and serving customers as efficiently and accurately as possible. On paper, it sounds simple and repetitive, but the game makes these mundane tasks genuinely stressful. Each day escalates in a way that feels natural. Orders become more demanding, new ingredients appear, and the pressure steadily increases. You’re constantly juggling speed, accuracy, and awareness, because focusing too hard on one thing usually leads to messing up another. Story-wise, Greed’s Grub keeps things vague, and that’s a strength. You’re never fully told what you did …

The patty's burn way too quickly and you can only make one burger at a time as you only have one spot to place the bottom bun (it's like build-a-burger, e.g. bottom bun > patty > top bun), so it makes it extremely difficult to multitask, especially when you have three customers and a time limit. Then you also have to mind the tentacles (which you deep fry) - for me they always turned out black or weren't cooked at all. No idea why. The goblin is really annoying too and also too frequent. There should be an option to disable him. All of it combined makes brain go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Other than that, it's pretty cool and at least it's FREE. No offence. I recommend implementing a difficulty slider and such.

Looks simple, but isn't. I hate the Goblin.

Short but fun with a decent challenge, and you can't beat free. It says that it has partial controller support, the controller does work but the sensitivity was so abysmal that even at max settings it's pretty much unplayable. Secondly in the endless mode there is a layered effect on the graphics, this in tandem with the slight stuttering that can happen is pretty headache inducing. No other complaints though, it's a fun time.
