About I, Hope
I, Hope is a beautiful coming of age adventure story about a young girl named Hope, whose town has been taken over by Cancer. The game is engaging for all, yet for survivors and children who are currently battling cancer, the game is empowering. The developer has truly set out to make a game that kids can play while receiving cancer treatments; something to distract them, but at the same time, put them back in control of their battle. In addition to this being a great game, the developer is donating all their proceeds from the game to Game Changer Charity, a wonderful non-profit organization whose mission is to spread hope and love to children staying in hospitals.
When we think of video games, our minds go to epic battles, fantasy worlds, crazy races and mind-boggling adventures. For Kenny Roy, creating a game is about hitting the perfect balance between pure amusement and lifting spirits.

(Got this from a group I no longer curate for. Nyaha!!!!)
Is this game good? I, Hope...
I, Hope is a short game that takes about 2 hours of your time. You play as a mouse girl named Hope to fight a giant tentacle monster named Cancer...not really subtle I know, though the pornographic reference (while not intended) is probably more subtle. The idea behind this game's creation is to send all proceeds to a cancer charity, so your money is going to a child that needs your help...an honorable move meaning this developer has worked for free on this project. Now that that's out of the way, is I, Hope a good game? Well, it's okay...the visuals are nice and the general concept is there...a basic "bad guy shows up, now the heroine must slay him" story with constant reminders for cancer patients who may be playing the game. The fights are basically button mashings with enemies you can just walk past if you so choose. The instructions in-game are also intended for XBox players rather than PC players...which is a tad offputting. Especially in the final moment, I mean. The biggest problem I have with this game are the bugs. In the reflection room (fina…5 found this helpful
Gotta be one of the greatest hidden gems to speed-run that I've ever come across. My buddy and I picked this game outta pure luck which just so happened to be one of the best purchases we've made in a long time. Highly recommend, it just so happens to go toward a good cause as well (cancer research)!3 found this helpful
Recommending mainly for the Game Changer Charity. Game itself is ok, looks decent, nice soundtrack, generally controls fine. Puzzles are mainly straightforward. If you keep expectations low, there's a couple hours of fun here. It's a decent effort by a small indie team. Unfortunately, there's no story. The first sentence in the "About This Game" section is all you get. The game is very short and there's really no replay value.2 found this helpful
this game is a nice and short (took me less than 3 hours) I would recommend using an Xbox controller, i played it without and feels a bit clunky at some points2 found this helpful
THIS IS THE GOAT SPEED RUN!!!! Some minor things to deal with but dont all good speed runs have them. But fr though you should actually try it didnt expect it to be so good!1 found this helpful
It's short. The combat is easy. It's cliche to the point you can see where its going right off the bat. It has great music, cool puzzles and a good message. Highly recommended for a short, sweet playthrough.1 found this helpful
