If you’re a fan of anomaly games, you’ll be instantly familiar with the mechanics. But for newcomers stepping into the darkness for the first time, the rules are mercifully simple. Your task is to reach floor 1 by keenly observing anomalies and making the right choices. The setting is deceptively minimalist: a grimy, dimly-lit staircase landing with a table littered with cards, scattered junk, and little else. Your journey begins on the first floor, and each subsequent “loop” has to mirror the original scene with perfect precision. When everything looks as it should, you progress downward. But if something is even slightly off, you need to go back the way you came. Anomalies come in all shapes and sizes—some glaringly obvious, others maddeningly subtle. Sure, there are straightforward clues like a flickering light or a misplaced object, but the real challenge lies in spotting the nearly imperceptible ones. A tiny peephole beneath the table, for instance, can easily be missed if you’re not examining every corner with obsessive focus. No not a place for those. Why did you come to a anomaly game for that? Level 13 is a quintessential anomaly game from a solo dev worth your time and money. For the low low price of $3.99 (at the time of writing, tariffs pending) you too can experience not one, not two, but three anomalisa-type games. But seriously, what a solo dev has accomplished here is very fun and very worth your time. <Heart-emoji>

I had so much fun playing this game. I love "find the difference" games and making it into the horror genre was a great idea. I also like that it has multiple endings. The game is fairly easy but having multiple endings does make me want to replay it over and over again.

I received a copy of this game free, but all opinions are my own. I am not normally a horror game player but I was very pleasantly surprised to find I genuinely enjoyed this one. Gameplay is smooth, it feels really well thought out and the vibes are definitely creepy. I still want to find all the anomalies but I have had fun finding the ones I have. Some are super hard! Definitely recommend.

I head down the stairs to goww down, but going up the stairs also goes down. They're the real anomaly. For real though, i have been having a blast reactivating the 'I Spy Books' part of my brain. Maybe like 2 to 3 out of 5 spookies for me but 5 stars for the whole game for the price.
