Gameplay
Misfire is a Casual PvP Platform Shooter. Fly around with a jetpack, pick up all sorts of ridiculous weapons, try not to fall to your death, and shoot your opponents before they shoot you! Battle it out in either a 1v1 Duel mode or a 3-4 player Free For All. With varied maps, guns, and plenty of customization options, Misfire will waste a bunch of your time when you could either be outside or reading a book!
Better With Friends
Misfire is designed to be played with friends! Since the game uses a player-as-the-server model, your connection quality is directly related to your geographical distance to the host. Sounds technical I know, but all that boils down to is that you're guaranteed to have a better experience by playing with friends that are in the same region. Certain limitations come with being a solo dev releasing a game for free, but I'm making the best of what I got!

Misfire is the project of a single person under the name of Noodle Games. Making games is my hobby and passion, but as a broke university student I don't have much time to pursue it. Every small chance I get i'm working to make Misfire better and more fun for you!

Суть проста: сражайся в маленьких, замкнутых аренах, используя разнообразное оружие и способности, чтобы выжить и набрать больше всех очков. Графика простая, но функциональная, а вот геймплей действительно увлекает. Быстрые матчи, постоянный экшн и необходимость быстро принимать решения делают игру очень реиграбельной. Однако, 'Misfire' не лишена недостатков. Отсутствие одиночной кампании или каких-либо более глубоких режимов, кроме обычного deathmatch, может быстро наскучить. Баланс оружия временами кажется несправедливым, а оптимизация оставляет желать лучшего – встречаются просадки FPS, особенно в разгар битвы. В целом, 'Misfire' – это неплохой выбор для тех, кто ищет быстрый и непритязательный мультиплеерный шутер. Она способна подарить несколько часов веселья, но не стоит ожидать от нее чего-то большего, чем просто аркадный экшен. The best free to play 'arena fighter' style game on Steam. A very unique idea as well, this game is an underrated gem.

On the upside I guess the best thing that can be said is that it doesn't look like an asset flip. There's no players, because this really took nothing new to the table. Pushing out a contentless platformer in the era of FPS gaming is certainly courageous, to say the least. Gameplay was just a tired matter of jumping around on 3D rendered 2D platforms and shooting at nobody because there's nobody to shoot. At least they used 3D graphics, which gave this an edge over the multitude of 2D/pixel shooters. Not enough of an edge, unfortunately. So, Misfire is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! [i]Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails.[/i] Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. [h1]Before I played Misfire, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good[/h1]
