Even with creepy things happening in the game, there was no point where I was scared to continue or look around. There are some parts in the game where you get a clue on what to do the tv turning on a door opening or the character thinking about what he should do, but other times it just wants you to wander around the house and guess what to do to trigger the next scene. Things in the game rely on you doing the scenes in order too, like you can't pick up the flashlight until the game wants you to even though it's readily available the whole time on the nightstand. Luckily the game is only $1.69 so if you want the experience of playing a horror game with little ambiance this is your game.

Nightfall House is a game that relies heavily on the player being able to endure mass amounts of fright. I for one enjoy horror games, and this game is definitely one of the horror games I've every played. The aesthetic of the game is down to a tea, when the tv suddenly turned on while i was in the kitchen i almost pee peed myself from how scared I was. The cherry on top? When I went back to the kitchen to see my plate of spaghetti was eaten by the ghost. That's what did it for me, had to change my pants after that. 6/10

Just finished the game :D Its a super fun game where your houses is haunted by a child spirit attached to a doll always scaring you and running at you with a knife :D I absolutely love the gameplay and story. magnificent and realistic graphics. Highly recommended!

Short, creepy, and actually kind of impressive for what it is. Nightfall House is like one of those 15-minute horror clips on YouTube — no filler, just pure atmosphere. You wake up in the middle of the night and start doing chores, and slowly things start to feel... off. Like someone’s watching you. Nothing jumps out at first, but the tension keeps building. You’re just walking around, but it still gets under your skin. The graphics are pretty solid for such a small indie project — especially considering it was made by a student with only six months of game dev experience. That’s wild. It’s obvious the focus was on making you feel the environment, and it works. The sound design and pacing do a lot of the heavy lifting. Gameplay-wise, it’s super simple: no combat, no puzzles, just walking and triggering events. But that’s fine — it’s meant to be a short horror experience, not a full-blown game. If you like short indie horror games with a heavy focus on atmosphere and subtle dread, this one’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect a deep story or complex mechanics — it’s more of a vibe than a full game. But hey, for 15–20 minutes? Solid little scare.
