About Pip My Dice

About the game

Pip My Dice is a roguelike deck builder inspired by Balatro and the Yahtzee game. Customize different dice and use them together with powerful relics to break high scores and climb the leaderboard. Collect powerful relics to create synergies with your dice and upgrade your combination slots. Take your time and make wise decisions about what you buy in the shop and how you use it. Don't be greedy, you never know if you are going to roll what you are expecting... Unless you customize your dice so much that all faces are the same!
Enjoy endless replayability with the guarantee that every run will be different from the previous one, and save your favorite seeds to replay and share those you like the most.Customize all faces of your dice individually to make the most of your relics and create game-breaking combos! Rig the odds by modifying the value of the dice faces, and make sure that there is no room for chance. Hold on to precious consumables to get you out of trouble.

Comapred to crap titles liek This aint even poker ya joker or shoot even other ones in the genre that try to copy the Balatro fame, this one mechanically while lacking the visual police of some like Cloverpit or Balatro and it maintains a simplictic design that feels more at home on a crappy mobile game, overall mechanics wise I suggest this! While it does have more reliance on RNJesus the core mechanics let you maniuplate things in a way thta feels like it's doing things right. The dice, the score an all of that are just the delivery method. So bravo. UI/UX feels clunky, and overall it's not as cute or amusing as the King but....to be frank? For 10 bucks, you get your moneyts worth. I play games liek this on speedhacks to test them mechanics wise. If the gameplay loop is still fun after an hour you know you have a good game in this genre.

A nice Balatro-like game inspired by Yahtzee. I feel like I am still learning all the nuances and possible combos, but I'm having fun

What if Balatro was based on Yahtzee instead of poker? Pip My Dice isn't quite as deep as Balatro, but it will keep you coming back for "just one more turn." Over 24 hours in and I am still playing.

Really cool concept, really scratches my "balatro" sense.

This game has great gameplay... but there are some HORRENDOUS aspects to it that need to be fixed 1. The music. It's completely grating, and unsuited for this sort of game. The music sounds like it should be used in Geometry Wars or some high-action platformer, not a dice/poker game. The music is horrible, and really takes me out of it. By the time I got to the final stage I just had to turn it off. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REPLACE THE MUSIC COMPLETELY. 2. The controller UI. It's almost impossible to figure what is selected when you're using a controller. I play games like this one on my steam deck and it's super confusing and annoying. The current highlight is either a slight gradient around the item, or the item changes from one color to a similar color, depending on what item it is, and you might be cycling between those, which is just stupid!!!!! Make the selection cursor a clear obvioius outline and make it work the same for everything. Also, B to remove a die from scoring is a horrific idea. Just use A again. That's it. Fix both of those things and I'll give your game a positive score.

Very good game however the controller support is mediocre. I mostly play it on my phone. I think it works best on a touchscreen.
