About Shong
Shong is a "chess-lite", a simple take on the abstract strategy genre of games.
Here you take control of four lone pieces and attempt to "Shong" your opponent. How do you "Shong" your opponent? You trap their king or move your king to the other side of the board.
Sound simple? There's a twist. Each time you move a piece, the piece will flip between two movement patterns creating an extra layer of complexity when thinking multiple moves ahead.
Play tournament mode and be greeted with seven different AI personalities, each one complete with a unique strategy.
Challenge your friends to multiplayer online or locally.
Can you become the ultimate Shong champion?

Easily one of the best board to play with friends. Only buy if you have someone to play with as it does not have active players.
"Shong" is a browser/mobile tier quality attempt from an amateur developer to "improve" Chess... kinda. Advertised as a "simple" Chess game with less pieces, the developer declares their English not good. It's "Fewer" pieces, not "less". What do you do in the game? Anyway it's a chess-like game but when you move each piece it flips between capability sets, which is actually a terrible idea if you think about it and it's hard to say the terrible game concept or the terrible implementation quality was the cause of failure... but fail it did. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locke…
