Square garden

"Square garden" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Square garden" is a software application that lets you build a simplistic 2D top down picture of a garden. Oh, you say, with nice big trees and water features and things like that? Haha, no. There's 90 different tiles you can drop onto a simple grid... the tiles representing grass, paths, or small plants... that's it. Even the tiles lack differentiation. And all you can do is arrange them to make a simple 2D top down picture!!! MS-Paint gives you more to do than this garbage does! The most amusing part of all of this is equally depressing... someone genuinely thought this was a "game" and should be published as such. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another…

It runs & works but, I see no point in it. I guess if you're curious, check it out?

Not sure what the purpose of this is but it runs fine so I cant complain.

I wanted to like this, but honestly the art for the individual items wasn't varied enough, with several green or purple circles that kind of just looked the same and not giving quite the diversity. Would have like to see some larger tree sided items as seen in garden planning, or structural pieces like decorative stones or fallen logs.

cool. you place blocks, you get more blocks, you wonder what do these chinese letters mean, you learn what they mean(the left button saves the game). i reccomend it even tho i probably won't ever play it again
