Strike Force: Desert Thunder is a military-themed first-person shooter developed and published by West Forest Games that deliberately embraces the design philosophy of classic tactical shooters. Inspired by titles such as Delta Force, the game abandons many of the cinematic conventions associated with modern military shooters and instead focuses on open environments, mission-based objectives, and player freedom. Rather than placing players on a tightly scripted path filled with explosive set pieces, it encourages strategic thinking and careful planning, making it feel like a product from an earlier generation of PC shooters. The campaign revolves around a series of counterterrorism operations set in expansive desert regions. Players take on the role of a special forces operative assigned to eliminate threats and prevent attacks across multiple missions. The narrative itself remains fairly minimal, serving primarily as a backdrop for the action. Instead of relying on dramatic storytelling, the game places its emphasis on the player's role within the battlefield. Every mission presents a new objective, allowing the gameplay to take priority over lengthy cutscenes or complex characte…
Strike Force: Desert Thunder

Positives:
+ Delta Force & IGI like vibes + Party acceptable graphics (at least the nearest part where everything isnt blurry) + Ok music + Nostalgic retro feel + Somehow it can be quite entertaining + Free weapons of choice + The sniper rifle and scope weapons + Acceptable gunplay + Ok sized maps + Different difficulty levels to choose from + In-game map + 10 Missions in total (much better compared to Arctic Storms 5)
Negatives:
- You must be within 1 metre of the green marks to trigger the next location mark (if you accidentally miss one, you must go all the way back again) - There is no difference if the enemy is looking or shooting at you - If you are within a given diametre the enemy will shoot and hit you all the time (and they also shoot through obstacles) - Low distance view (everything in the distant is blurry with low resolution) - The enemy hitbox is the same (there is no difference if you shoot the foot or the head) - Irritating moaning of the player when you are hit - Your weapon halfway disappears when close to walls - The AI is downright horrible (a dead-drunk sailor could do a better job) - Not enough v…

0/10 Don't need more than the first level to tell me this is hot trash that barely functions as a game.

Unluckily, this game is not so good.

This game is a very simple barebones shooter with zero AI and cookie-cutter locations, and you can probably finish it in an hour, but for all that it's still a fun little game. About the only negative thing I can say about it is that the achievements don't seem to work.
