About The Burning Descent

FPS + Esport + VR

Available for Arcades on Springboard VR

The Burning Descent is an intuitive, fast-paced competitive VR shooter in which you take the role of mercenaries battling in a deathmatch arena.

You’ll fight across a colossal and vertiginous arena, teleporting from platform to platform and bullseyeing your opponents with different cool weapons.

Each intense round gives you five minutes to frag enemies and ramp up your score.

At the end of the fight the mercenary with the highest score is declared the best fighter in the arena!

Features:
  • High Octane Battle

Pick up your favourite weapons to hunt down your opponents and dominate the battle. The best mercenary fighter will be the one with the most accurate aim and sharpest decision-making.
  • 4 Players FFA Deathmatch

Players battle each other in a free-for-all deathmatch.
  • 1 Player Time Attack

Measure your skills against the series of time-attack challenges requiring marksmanship and reflexes. Try and try harder to get a chance to finally beat the developer record!
  • Unique Teleport System

In the Burning Descent, you teleport from platforms to platforms at a glance. Not only is it a unique way of moving in VR games, it makes it feel easy and natural to dash around the battlefield at lightning speed.
  • Body Movement

Stand out from other competitors by crouching, ducking and leaning out to become a harder target to reach and step up your combat intensity!
  • No motion sickness

The game was designed and polished with a scientific VR approach, reducing motion sickness to an absolute minimum, ensuring an optimal experience even for sensitive players.

Received this game as a sponsorship on one of my streams quite some time ago, upon trying to actually play the game it was completely dead and didn't load into any games, so naturally stream review ended then and there, apparently there was 1 person online, that being me. Sad to say I can't give the game itself an actual review as I never got to try out any gameplay. Looks fun and decent but would be an idea to fill in slots with AI bots to make up for the lack of players.

Watch my review here https://youtu.be/R2xrkpUpTmM Pretty damn good arena first person shooter. Looks good, but not super sharp so could do with some SS and has great performance to do so. Gameplay is fun and quick. You have to teleport to different platforms and combat your foes. It's 4 player deathmatch and when I play there was only two of us. However it was still alot of fun. Many weapons to find on platforms and a shield. A major worry is player base being to small. I kinda wish the devs would bring it to as many VR platforms as they can and have cross play. Many avatars to pick from, which is cool as it gets.

Great gameplay. The game is very accurate it goes fast. I played course mode on my own, it was very exciting to try to make a better score each time. I played again in multiplayer mode. I only found one player the first time but he can play with four, I'm looking forward to it. the teleportations were natural after I found the right buttons on my controllers. Great Experience.
