The Divine Speaker: A Bounty Hunter's First Christmas

A cute little addition to The Divine Speaker. Having just finished I could luckily recall the voices - bc it's sadly doesn't have VA. Instead updates on how everybody is doing - and some eyecandy :3

I loved the original The Divine Speaker and, feeling in a holiday mood, decided to get this one to "stay in the realm" of it just a little longer... Big mistake. I understand that this was originally a Patreon exclusive and therefore doesn't need to be a fully fleshed-out story, but I just left wondering who this story was actually for. A lot of the characters seemed to be written very out-of-character to a cringe-inducing degree (which is worrying when the same writer is involved!) that made it feel like I was reading someone's hastily put together fanfiction. There were a lot more anachronisms than in the original game which bothered me, as well as minor plot inconsistencies in the language used. Since this was a Patreon exclusive, it tries to hype up the prequel (which at that point hadn't been released yet) by making foreboding comments about characters' backstories but now just comes off as a weird ad to make you buy it (which I already did! and by god I hope the writing is more on par with the first game...). I really wanted to like the short story, I loved The Divine Speaker and I loved all LIs equally so I was happy to see any continuation because the story has been ever…

could never get enough of leos.

This was a pretty cute dlc, and I can see why it had to be these two characters for this particular story to work. I did very much enjoy getting to see Leos again. If someone enjoyed the Divine Speaker world/story/characters, and don't mind a very lighthearted sidestory with the characters appearing (all the main characters and pretty much all of the side characters make at least a brief appearance), then maybe give this one a try.

If you loved The Divine Speaker and Leos' romance path, I highly recommend playing this game. It brings you back into the world you love through a very sweet storyline. ** Recommended to play this AFTER finishing Leos' path, or at least one path in The Divine Speaker.
