About The Gift
"The Gift" is a horror point and click game. You play as a hotel administrator, who will have to unwittingly face forces inaccessible to human consciousness. This story of loss, retribution, and unholy union begins with the appearance of a mysterious stranger. The creators of this game were inspired by such films as "The Raven" and "The Midnight Meat Train". To move along the plot, the player will have to solve puzzles for attentiveness and find letters left by a stranger. Control of the game is carried out by using the mouse and the "Space" and "Tab" keys. There are no saves and checkpoints in this game, but there is a choice of difficulty level.

Im 99% sure this game is glitched as another reviewer has mentioned there is a flathead screwdriver that you cannot use on a puzzle with flathead screws. Spent over an hour walking around in circles not knowing what to do, I managed to get 4 pages and solve many puzzles however Im pretty sure Im stuck because of a glitch, not because I cant figure out what Im doing. Ive clicked everywhere possible. There is some kind of puzzle with a fireplace too that I am stuck on but I bet the answer lies with that other screwdriver glitch. Also this game makes you super dizzy as you move the mouse around, the screen bobs around quickly, youll see if you end up trying it out. Also no saving hurts the game. Two big thumbs down.3 found this helpful
Admittedly I am not a fan of point and click puzzle type games. But I gave this one a shot. The puzzles are a stretch to say the least. And don't even get me started on the screwdriver. You want to see my frustration find my playthrough on YT, palaceofpoison. The writing in the notes, however, was excellent, albeit a bit over the top at times. The best times I had playing this game were reading the notes. That doesn't say much for the rest of the game.1 found this helpful
