The Twin Paradox

[h2] Science, Pixel Art, and Time Travel [/h2] [i] The Twin Paradox [/i] is a short indie RPG with pixel art graphics reminiscent of Gameboy games. You explore a scientific laboratory, make decisions, and interact with characters inspired by real-life science communicators like Rafa Carbajal and Aldo deL Robot, all while learning real science in a fun way. Although visually simple, the game stands out for its educational purpose. It also includes a Flappy Bird-style mini-game with a difficult-to-control spaceship, which, though a bit frustrating, offers a unique challenge and adds variety to the experience. Clearly, it's a project made with a lot of love by a creator with a unique vision. Hopefully, we'll see more titles like this that combine science, fun, and heart. Nice game

kind of simple for a free game, just one thing--- players can't run.... it's escential for completing the quest, yet it takes too long just to walk around. There's some dialogue that isn't translated in English yet. I give a plus point for plenty of references. Overall, It's an ok game...

"The Twin Paradox" doesn't seem to have been made with the godawful blight on gaming that is the RPG Maker asset/construction kit... but it's almost completely indistingishable from an asset flip churned out with it. It's a short RPG Maker like (it's not actually RPG Maker) space puzzle/adventure game with a bunch of physics lessons bolted on, which nobody was asking for in a video game. The weak technical implementation and poor writing are the killers, here. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. They have their hand out for a $3 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty wat…

It's a charming game, but it just needs a different save mechanic. I played it through twice, and both times was unable to befriend one of the lab members (the first time I didn't talk to somebody early enough, and the second time I forgot to talk to them again after completing the simulation). There's no way to go back and change it, and there's no way I'm going to play it a third time because the movement of your character is way too slow for any of the errands you run to be any sort of fun.
