Squad 44

Genuinely better than HLL and normal Squad in everyway. Had this since early access and it was known as Post Scriptum but the player count is in the gutter from the word "go". The performance and poor marketing killed it at conception (performance is better now). I have so few hours because I only got to play full fun unmodded servers when a big update came out before like a week later everyone left again. Nowadays you can only find one or two full servers at the weekend in a different timezone on a server you have awful ping and needs to download a 100gb mod to join.

Amazing Game, I just wish more people played it! OWI should advertise this on Squad

great game low pop is the only downside

Game is basically dead. Then again, I appreciate the passion how those 13 people still fought hard at 7 o'clock in the morning on a Saturday morning when I joined the only server with people on. I even killed two guys lol

This game can be really fun and is also very cool and has tons of stuff to experience, maps are very cool and big, vehicles are really cool, guns are nice, gunplay is alright. However, right now and probably forever, the game has basically no players or servers. You'll find maybe 1 or 2 servers and if you want a specific map you're kind of out of luck since everyone mostly plays the same 3 or 4. I don't recommend purchasing just because you'll probably never be able to actually play it with full servers.

The game itself is awesome. There is a lot of depth to the game and the tank gameplay is some of the most in-depth tanking you can do in video games. The amount of detail and love put into this game is incredible and frankly to see the amount of players Hell Let Loose has compared to this is a tragedy and a shame, one of the biggest injustices in gaming history. Hell let loose is a buggy, uncooperative, heavy mess that is just a meat grinder simulator. There is no where near as much depth or complexity. Hell Let Loose is like the Fast & Furious of world war 2 shooters. It’s just for filthy casuals. It looks nice and whatever but there’s not much to it beyond spawn -> rush -> die. Your character feels glued to the ground and heavy on their feet and slow and clunky and it’s just not super dynamic in how it plays. Squad 44 however has so many elements to the game that make it awesome and deep, there’s a lot of variables. The map designs are so good and are perfect 1:1 copies from history and from television/film. The sound design is absolutely amazing and the explosion effects are gorgeous.
