About Dofamine

Scientific research is not unlike the work of a detective. Revealing hidden connections and subtle patterns has a lot in common with untangling the web of meanings, studying causes, and predicting consequences. If one correctly combines blocks of data and determines their connectivity, one may eventually uncover the truth. But that truth and the explanation of everything that has happened may come as a shock to the one who finds it.

Dopamine is a first-person sci-fi puzzle game where the player must explore the labyrinth of riddles and investigate the apocalyptic event at the research facility following the experiments with the Higgs boson, or “the God particle”.

INVESTIGATE A MYSTERY

In order to advance the investigation you must explore the sci-fi surroundings and uncover clues — blocks of data that must be correctly combined and reconnected.

LEARN THE PRICE OF KNOWLEDGE

We do not claim that ignorance is bliss, but… you can’t play God and write it off as a joke afterwards. A game like that always leads to dire consequences.

TRUST YOUR INSIGHT

A unique soundtrack will help you unleash your full investigative potential. Forget your doubts, and allow the sounds of music to guide you towards the truth.

GAME FEATURES:

 • Notes and puzzles
 • Interesting first-person story
 • Different locations
 • Amazing sound

Dofamine is a short, experimental puzzle experience that attempts to fuse abstract logic with philosophical science fiction, placing players inside a sterile research environment shaped by a mysterious and potentially catastrophic experiment. Developed and published by Whale Rock Games, it positions itself as more than just a conventional puzzle game, aiming instead to explore ideas about knowledge, consequence, and human curiosity. While the concept is intriguing, the overall experience feels more like a conceptual prototype than a fully realized journey. The structure of the game revolves around exploration and interpretation rather than traditional challenge. Players navigate a series of contained environments, uncovering fragments of information that must be connected in meaningful ways to progress. These fragments act as the core mechanic, requiring players to analyze patterns and relationships rather than rely on reflexes or complex interactions. The emphasis is on understanding rather than action, creating a gameplay loop that is more cerebral than engaging in a conventional sense. There is a certain appeal in this approach, particularly for players who enjoy decoding syste…

Well finished the game by the 40 min mark, I'd say this. Not worth the money unless you get it on sale (like I did "1$"), This is just a game made with unreal engine pack they probably for free so don't expect much variety. It's apparent that it is a solo home project made by someone not so experienced, which is why I'm not giving it a negative review because I respect the hustle.

Game looks blurry. There is a resolution scale but it looks bad on 100%. Cannot set your own resolution. No config file either.
Dofamine

Positives:
+ Good graphics + The colour variations + Nice sounds and music + Cool puzzles + Achievements + FOV-adjuster
Negatives:
- Story is so-so - Just the same looking corridors (except the colour) - Controls are not polished enough when interacting with objects - Still some unstable fps - Very short (over in under an hour)
Conclusion:
This is a sequel to Euphoria: Supreme Mechanics, and its a tad better. I really like the lighter colour variations, it makes it more joyful to play. And there are some new puzzle elements as well. Its a bit shorter than the first game though, so it will be over before you know it. But if you enjoyed Euphoria, you will also like Dofamine.
Total Score: 7/10
It's very short, like my wee-wee, so I was instantly familiar with this game.
