Arcade Shop Simulator

I'm just pushing myself to play this and that's only because I was so dumb to pay the full price for it without refunding it after I thought "when will there be anything new?" for the first time. I was drunk. Damn you, AB Inbev!!! The graphics are solid and they're actually completely up my alley. It kind of reminds me of Retro Rewind and I loved that graphics style. Sound design is decent, when it works. The children sounds mostly work but they cut out sometimes and it'll sound like you're in a church (while there are more than 20 little yelling devils inside). Time to start that radio at your desk, i'd say! But you won't hear it once you're out of the first room anyway, so I guess you'll have that going for ya, which is nice. BUT([b]![/b]) The gameplay loop is a complete chore. There's not much of new "gameplay" to unlock after the first 40 minutes or so. You'll do the same damn thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. Sounds amazing, I know. Don't drop more than $3 on this. Have fun vacuuming and clicking on every arcade to extract the coins every few minutes. [i]You're able to hire a kid and he'll grab all the money out of the different arcades but …

You begin with around 50 bucks in your pocket and a tiny shop that is barely big enough for a table with a computer and a single broken arcade machine. Fixing it is your first task, but fortunately, it is easy. You simply press a button to repair one percentage point. Each percentage costs money, and you do not need to restore a machine to perfect condition for it to work. However, a machine will be less popular and earn less money when it is in poor condition. Its condition constantly decreases while it is being played, so you will have to do a lot of repairing, especially once you fill the shop with more machines. If you let the condition drop too low, a machine can even explode, leaving you with nothing. Once you open the shop, kids will come in and start playing. They are a messy bunch, so they constantly throw trash on the floor. Trash affects your reputation, meaning you need to pick it up, although you do not have to deal with trash bags or dispose of it anywhere. After a few minutes, you can buy trashcans that supposedly reduce the amount of trash, but there is no indication of how much area a trashcan covers or how effective it actually is, because it feels like it does …

A lot of fun, especially if you enjoy arcade games and managing your own business. Running the arcade, keeping track of your finances, keeping everything clean, buying new machines, and taking care of their condition means there’s always something to do. A big plus is the music it fits the atmosphere of the game really well, and being able to listen to the radio while running your arcade is a really nice touch. I definitely recommend checking out the second channel. What I enjoy the most, though, is the online competitive aspect. The mini-games are really well made and can be surprisingly addictive, especially when you start competing for a spot on the leaderboards. You always want to give it another try and beat your previous score. Of course, there are a few minor bugs here and there, but it’s worth mentioning that the developer regularly responds to issues and releases fixes. You can see that the game is still being actively developed and has a lot of potential. If you enjoy arcade machines, business management, and a bit of friendly competition, this game is definitely worth giving a try.
