Next Reign: Kingdom

Of all the various ~$5 incremental games on steam this one has an incredible depth of content. The art is great and the upgrades always felt satisfying, both in effect and aesthetic. Definitely one of the better incrementals that I've played recently. My only criticisms would be that the combat system either seems to scale slower or require a lot more micro managing than the surrounding content and the prestige system eventually stops resetting much but still forces you to go back through and set everything back up again.

Of the incremental games I picked up on a whim a while ago, this was a personal favourite. It's reasonably short and the right pacing for how I like playing these games, which may be more attention heavy than how most other people play. Progression is satisfying and almost every resource stays relevant. My only gripe is how long it takes for the game to catch up when you prestige. The game gives you a good number of workers, but they trickle out of a building and slows the initial resource gathering. I'd also love some quality of life improvements such as remembering your worker/military assignments for festival/expeditions between resets, or an auto assign feature, because setting those up is the single most tedious part of prestging.

An absolutely fantastic little game that provides a relaxing yet engaging experience.

Very well designed and expansive game! It was a blast to play. Lots of quality of life integration so you don't start from square one after each reincarnation. The game was a delight to play and felt just complex enough while being easy to follow around. I would recommend. Probably bout 15-25 hours of gameplay on this one.
