it is super fun but seems to be abandoned by everyone so now its just mainly good to play with friends

Playing it with 3 people where one of them is a sherrif is unfun due to not being able to change amount on NPCs or for that matter of fact not having lobby for 1vs2 There's too much NPCs for one sheriff to deduct who is a player with two outlaws going around.

West Hunt delivers an engaging cat-and-mouse dynamic where an Outlaw completes missions disguised as an NPC while a Sheriff attempts to spot and snipe them. The Gameplay (8/10) is clever and tense, featuring smart mechanics like bribing NPCs, poisoning water, and Sheriff hounds. The Visuals & Atmosphere (7/10) offer a clean, stylized cartoon Wild West aesthetic with readable environments. However, Matchmaking & Player Base (4/10) is the game's biggest flaw - public lobbies are frequently empty, making it nearly impossible to find matches without bringing your own friends. ➕ Excellent 1v1 and 2v2 asymmetrical gameplay that creates intense, high-stakes mind games ➕ Quick match times (2-5 minutes) with custom rulesets and multiple maps ➕ Fun secondary mechanics (bribing, blending into NPC movement patterns, setting traps) ➖ Severely low public player count makes matchmaking difficult without an active group of friends ➖ The learning curve for learning NPC behavioral AI patterns can feel punishing for new Sheriffs

The game idea is fun, but it feels low-quality. Wouldnt recommend
