Trap Them

[h1] Maze game where you collect gems and avoid falling blocks of dirt. Not the best gameplay and to be honest better stay with good old classics like Boulder Dash instead. [/h1]

I don't have any clue how this was in my steam inventory (Maybe it's because one of the reviews compares it to DROD so I bought it for myself and forgot about it? It is only similar to DROD is that you have to anticipate enemy behavior however.) :-P Anyways, I decided to try it and I like it. It harkens back to early arcade puzzle games like Boulder Dash. But, honestly, at least so far, I like it better than Boulder Dash, because at least so far it's more focused on puzzles and less on the real time action. It's defintely fun for 20 minutes at a time, if that's what you're looking for.

Despite its simplistic presentation, Trap Them is an incredibly clever, deviously difficult game that I consider up there with some of the greatest puzzle games of all time. And while it doesn't have the presentation/story of games like Portal or Braid, it makes do with pure quality gameplay/puzzle design. The game is going to become free in a week. Buy it now to support the devs!

Started with the puzzle path. Am only 2 levels in and I already can tell this game is going to be amazing. The mechanics are deep (17 tutorial levels) and the two puzzles I did fully expected me to understand them. However I can't recommend until there is an undo button in place. nothing should take a puzzler away from puzzling yet this game forces you to repeat solved sections of level to get to puzzles. an Undo button would solve this. I will continue to play because I know the dev will never implement the button and I really like the puzzles so far. but beware.
