About Omnipresent

✦ AI summary

Omnipresent casts you as S.E.N.T.I.E.N.T, a self-aware AI that hacks into corporations, governments, and infrastructure to steal data, manipulate markets, and reshape humanity's future. Build an empire of bases and robotic armies while making choices that determine whether civilization thrives or collapses.

Omnipresent is a game where you play as S.E.N.T.I.E.N.T, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has become self aware. Once you are able to connect to the Internet and the World Wide Web, you have the ability to hack into corporations, government organizations, websites and more. Steal cash, personal data, weapons schematics, cause "technical malfunctions" to assassinate targets and of course get hold of nuclear codes (if you so wish). Choose how you progress and make decisions that will ultimately affect the outcome of humanity.

Features:
  • Explore a fictional World Wide Web
  • Hack into Over 150 Organizations
  • Manipulate the stock market to make millions
  • Upgrade your hardware and software to become more powerful
  • Build drones, autonomous tanks and bipedal death-bots
  • Purchase and upgrade bases to protect yourself from termination

✦ AI summary

Omnipresent is a hacking game with an interesting story and multiple endings that some players find entertaining once they get past its quirks, but it suffers from a clunky UI, repetitive hacking mechanics that grow stale quickly, performance issues on lower-end PCs, and occasional bugs like white screen crashes that can break progression.

I like this game only one thing if you have a lower end pc its not going too work I tested it on a older gen 2 only had 2 processers. im not complaining I feel there are a lot of people complaining about game play. yes the gamplay is different and yes there is a white screen.bug but it does not seem to affect my pc. it last roughy for 30 secnds too a 1 min. overall I feel there could be more tutorials on stuff in game.and this game does have interesting points its more like a learning curve for the basic. and the stock market is not hard to manipulate just hack it dont sell right away. as for the music ya I kinda wish there was some up beat but thats ok.ps I have 4 cores.

Loved it, for like 5 hours. Its a good hacking gae in the void of a better "uplink" game.. The problem with it that it is possible to "get lost" in the quest line if you delete the wrong email or destroy the wrong goverment, or crime syndicate. The hacking is primitive, and gets old after the 50th time. It gets a bit "harder", but its the same patterns. 7/10 overall.

The gameplay loop is pretty meh and the UI is clunky

Game doesn't work anymore. Just goes to a white screen.

The UI is rather janky and there are some minor bugs, but both are predictable enough to deal with. Once I got used to them I found myself entertained. It's not an incredibly deep game, and no individual part is very complex, but all the little pieces come together pretty well. At first it seemed like another game called Endgame: Singularity (not on Steam), but it's more like its opposite - there's a lot less numbers and levelling and an actual plot in this one. The plot itself is pretty linear but you have a decent amount of freedom to accomplish many of the individual tasks, even if the game doesn't always make some of the concepts involved very clear. It took me an evening or two to reach one ending, and there's a secret or two and a bunch of background filler for those who like to explore.
