About Lost in the Ocean VR

Close your eyes, put your VR headset on, and you’ll become a shipwrecked man, on a tropical island in the middle of Pacific Ocean.
First of all, you have to survive.
That’s because your hunger and thirst will make you suffer, like in real life.
So you have to understand how to satisfy your primal needs, interacting with animals or plants that you will find on the island.
Of course you will need to craft some tools, using rocks, wood, plants, and start a fire to cook or to have light during the night.
But, if surviving is your first objective, the second one is to escape the island. To achieve to runaway, you’ll have to build a raft and face the Ocean’s waves.

Can you handle it?

I bought this on sale and I'm still returning it. No update since 2018. You can't even save your game.

Lost in the Ocean VR, developed and published by Tunnel Vision Studio, is a survival experience built around a simple but compelling premise: you are stranded alone on an island and must rely on your own actions to stay alive and eventually escape. Designed specifically for virtual reality, the game aims to immerse players directly into this scenario, emphasizing physical interaction and environmental awareness rather than complex systems or narrative depth. From the beginning, it establishes a sense of isolation, placing you in a quiet, open environment where survival depends entirely on your ability to adapt. The gameplay revolves around managing basic needs such as hunger and thirst while exploring the island for resources. Players gather materials like wood and stone, craft tools, and perform essential tasks such as starting fires and finding food. These activities are presented through VR interactions, giving them a more tactile feel compared to traditional survival games. Simple actions like picking up objects or scanning the environment take on added significance when experienced from a first-person, physical perspective. The inclusion of a long-term goal—constructing a raf…

Worth the price. Has its issues, but its still fun. I recommend buying the game if you liked the movie "Castaway".

A neat concept of a survival type game in VR but its very limited what you can do in this game. There don't seem to have been any updates in quite some time, so I expect this is the way the game will remain. Everything shown in the trailers is basically everything in the game. There is nowhere to explore nor anything further to learn aside from a crafting recipes book you can find that is very difficult to open. Still, I recommend it on a sale because you can have some sort of entertainment value out of it.
