This is such a fun time killer. I keep hoping that I have the fastest run on each level every time ... but I do not. Definitely worht the cost of admission.

A promising Gauntlet-style overhead shooter that needs some more time in the oven. Besides moving and attacking, you can utilize a dash, shield, strafing maneuver and limited smart bomb supply to stay a step ahead of the ever-present hordes of nasties; as you wander the halls and chambers blasting everything that moves, you'll want to grab plenty of coins (which fuel a Gradius-esque power-up bar) and gems (which add to a score multiplier), as well as requisite health and stamina potions. Tack on three character classes and leaderboards for both time and score, and what else could someone with old-school gaming tastes demand for five bucks? Well, consider the following. The biggest issue by far is that nearly all of the hits you take are likely to be ones you couldn't see coming: both monsters and the portals they spawn from can and will appear right on top of you with no warning at all, unseen offscreen projectiles will hit home before you can react to them, and small critters will get lost in the piles of loot and pixelly "splatters" other defeated targets have left behind. There are usually enough health potions lying around to keep things from becoming completely unfair, but w…

(Got this game for free from the developer's submission to SteadyGiveaways. Thanks!)
Someone's rustlin' in the dungeon! Someone's rustlin' I know-ow-ow-ow!!!
Dungeon Rustlers is an arena-based game involvling slaying all monsters in the level before advancing to the next level. It's pretty decent, even if it does use the same assets as Creature Clicker - Capture, Train, Ascend. It's pretty good in the short run, but I do find the lack of savepoints to be bothersome (I get busy and need to put games down from time to time). So, what's the reason to play this game? It's only worth your time and money (currently priced at $5) if you're into retro-style arena-based combat utilizing 3 classes (you only get to choose one per playthrough). It seems pretty decent if you're into this sort of thing. Of course, if you're an average gamer like me, you could probably take it or leave it (recommended price being about $1 for this sort of thing). 5/10 Rustling in the dungeon can be okay...but not great.

Read our review: https://enomview.com/2017/12/11/dungeon-rustlers-the-revival-of-old-school-dungeon-crawlers/ Remember the pleasure of the old-school 8-bit games you would attempt to master at the arcade after school. The enjoyment, yet simplicity, of slaying the visible pixels that stand before you. Dungeon Rustlers brings that nostalgia out of the arcade and into our homes. Choose between a Knight, Archer, or Mage to take on 50 levels, and the 7 unique and challenging enemies of this retro epic of a dungeon crawler. Dungeon Rustlers challenges worthy players to hack-and-slash through waves upon waves of tenacious enemies. Although you can only begin your anticipated adventure on PC, it does offer full controller compatibility for those console players who are willing to attempt the vigorous task of reaching the 50th level. I felt a strong attachment to this game the second I began my adventure in level one. As an avid player in games like Realm of the Mad God and Gauntlet, I feel as if much of the world is missing out on these old-school adventure games. It’s not hard to see that the retro-90’s genre is fading away, and with new generations being exposed to the higher class ga…
