Stranded Alone

[h1]Feeling alone while stranded with this game...[/h1] [i]Stranded Alone[/i] is a psuedo top-down arena shooter (really it's some sort of diagonal viewpoint) about killing an endless swarm of alien monsters before you're killed (and you will get killed soon enough). There isn't much to say other than the fact that it feels like your typical clunky asset flip. This game includes a practice map, a real map, and 4 selectable characters (which can be upgraded, but each single upgrade requires thousands of points, you'll be lucky to get one thousand from a single play session). There are about 4-5 alien monsters that often repeat, so there isn't a large variety of monsters to kill. Simply put, I didn't enjoy this game. It only feels like an unpolished alpha that has a long way to go until it's a finished product. Given that I only played for about 15 minutes as of this review, I cannot say that this was a fun experience. It's not the most complex, or the most varied unit types, but for $3 I think it's a good pick up every now and then or see how much you can score in an afternoon. I enjoyed my times with it and will check back if dev continues to update!

Fun and challenging shooter.

From the targeting reticle to upgrades, all the way to basic math. Nothing in Stranded Alone performs like it should, playing more like an eleven year old's first Unity venture. I'm more ticked at myself, however, for expecting a sliver of a competent game and waited to install this beyond the ten day mark, so enjoy my money I guess.

Very fun! Top down shooter with four balanced charcters. It's super satisfying to smash through waves of monsters on Normal, or play to the challenging Ranked mode for a global High Score. 10/10 Great value! 12/10 with rice.
