PictoQuest

On a rating scale, this game is probably a 5 out of 10. It's one of the most mediocre games I've ever played. The RPG elements are almost non-existent, aside from a health bar, and the ability to get items (cheats, basically) using gold. You're on a timer, which may or may not appeal. I have enough nonogram experience in my gaming background that the timer was only a problem on the final boss, and I still won on the first try. The difficulty isn't the problem, though. Other nonogram games are more enjoyable without these features. I bought this out of curiosity over the gimmicks, and ultimately, they just didn't really do anything for me. If you're looking for good nonogram games, I'd recommend Squeakross. Oh, and Murder By Numbers is an alright alternative if you don't mind a middling storyline in the mix. I hope to find more good nonogram games over time, but PictoQuest just ain't it, chief.

As a fan of picross games, there isn't much to complain about in Pictoquest--lots of puzzle variety, unique challenges and an item system that has, more than once, saved the day for me. I must say, though, the timed puzzles scattered throughout the game can have the vibe for a picross title. Definitely worth buying on sale, if you enjoy picross.

A picross/nongram game as you would expect. Unfortunately, the world does not zoom out, there are no color variants of puzzles and the time pressure when facing enemies make this stressful and not a relaxing puzzle game for me. Can't whoelheartedly recommend

Great game for beginners but the biggest one is 20X20 so if your looking for picto challenge this isnt it.

There's no real "rpg twist" to this game. On some levels you have an health bar, and the enemies attack after a cooldown and damage you, which is equivalent to just playing against a timer. No need to worry about it, though, as the game is fairly easy and gives you for free a ton of consumables that you can use to make it even easier. Also, some of the nonograms are just incoherent shapes while they are in black and white, and you can only understand what they are supposed to represent after completing them, when the game shows you the image with colours. Buy only on sale and only if you are really craving some nonograms.
