As others have said this one is a bit of a bust. The visuals are an inoffensive pixelated , and theres 4 different fighters. Thats about all the positives. All the levels are just these small corridors/rooms with traps everywhere and you fight the same enemies each run and the same bosses. The 4 fights have different attacks, but all the game is is just holding down attack. The combat is weird, as you have a combo with 4 different abilities that auto trigger as you attack, and then a single triggered ability to use, 1/2 of which are pretty useless. Most of the upgrades during runs and schools of attacks you choose are kind of boring and don't change gameplay at all. Theres also a dumb system where your dodge can trigger a combo chain and abilities as well. This leads to all combat just being hold down attack then spam dodge then hold down attack, and thats about it. None of the perm progression unlocks are interesting and change the game in any way. After you beat 4 bosses each in separate acts you then need to beat them all in a row in the final act. Then if you want the true ending you just keep doing that over and over I guess. After 5 hrs or so I saw there was nothing left …

Short game, big emphasis on dodging. Ok game, 6/10.

Potentially cool mechanics, insanely repititive with no payoff.

Potential Game, lot of mixes from different genres which at the end of the day makes a very boring loop. Easy to abuse game mechanics like dodge. The arstyle is fine. Story is mediocre at best. I wouldnt recommend buying this straight away and probably you will get it if you buy Fanatical Mystery Key bundles like I did. Save your money for something like Hades

This combat is just not for me.
