Gal*Gun Returns is a arcade-style shooter where you use Pheromone Shots to fend off over 70 lovesick girls vying for your affection while pursuing your own romantic ending. The game stands out with its fully voiced cast, hundreds of panty designs to discover, multiple game modes including story and score attack, and charming anime aesthetics that have been refreshed after a decade.

Add the main heroines, angels, and all the students/faculty at the academy together, and you get a huge cast of over 70 characters! In addition to the students and faculty, you may even cross paths with some ladies who are pretty rare sightings! Let those Pheromone Shots fly to stop the hoards from girls trying to confess their love to you, and you just might be in for a happy ending with your one true love!
Aim for the ecstasy shot!
Every girl has a weak spot where Pheromone Shots are extra effective! You know you found it when you see things like 「ハッ」 and 「キュン」 appear! Steady your aim and land a shot there, and that'll trigger an Ecstacy Shot, which gives a girl euphoria in just one shot!
Enjoy the satisfaction of Doki Doki Mode!
Once you meet certain conditions, you can really concentrate and marvel at (shoot) a girl from a bunch of different angles in Doki Doki Mode! Fill that girl's Doki Doki Gauge within the time limit, and not only will you give her euphoria, but you'll also be rewarded for your...efforts!

Players suggest waiting for a sale rather than paying full price.
Because this game is the remastered version of the first GalGun game, it's mechanics are a lot simpler than its sequels. However, it is still quite entertaining. The achievements, however, are a lot more time consuming than the sequels.4 found this helpful
This game is awkward, and not just in the context of the story but in the gameplay itself. It’s a light gun game which I can appreciate but feels odd using a controller instead of… well a light gun. Since you are using a controller you will often have trouble getting all your shots in at the short windows you have to actually hit some of these speeding targets or your characters need to dart their eyes to other areas… let alone at the weak spots which aren’t well defined other than if you hover over it it gives a bit of text. Part of the gimmick is not only to ward off the wave after wave of recurring girls but to increase your own stats by going into a special mode that requires you to use a special gauge to pick a person in particular and build a staring gauge before piercing their metaphorical heart. This will have you zoom in on various body parts for extended periods of time before taking your shots. I get the fanservice part of it, but even if I was into it… it gets old fast with how long it takes and becomes an incredible annoyance despite the benefits it brings which includes stats, character file notes, point to rank increase, but also a love bomb that takes out all nearby…3 found this helpful
