Tetragon

This game taught me why it is really important for games to ask you first before starting a new game if you want to override your save file. Tetragon does not. It happened to me once just a few levels in, so, no big deal, but with another one about half way through, I am not going to waste my time with it. Beyond that, I frequently had bugs where levels for now discernible reason became unplayable because things did not trigger when they should, parts would not move as intended or similar. The controls also are not exactly great, with some bad response and also just the fact that cycling through all the movable pillars is rather tedious and often not that intuitive. I love puzzle games, but this one is not that great that it would make up for the technical issues.

I would recommend this game, but it has several serious flaws. (I'd give it a 55% score in its current state) I believe that the issues would be easily fixable if the devs are receptive to such feedback. It's quite a short game, which you will probably complete in two gaming sessions, so bear that in mind before you buy it. It's a lovely and simple puzzle-game concept, but unfortunately the character movement is abysmal and unresponsive, which is nightmare when it is essentially a platform game in which one false move means instant death. Very frustrating! When you press a key to walk or jump, the character only seems to do the move about 50% of the time, even then the character may not be centred on a square, which the character really should snap-to after a move. The final level changes the whole dynamic of the game into an unforgiving timed level, thereby spoiling the ending of what was an unhurried puzzle game. (To be fair, most puzzle games designers make this same fatal mistake, even classic games like Portal) The movement controls on the final timed level were so critically bad that I gave up in frustration and boredom and quit the game entirely*. A well crafted indie puzzle game. If puzzle is your thing you should play this game.

BORNING game with ASS controls. The movement is sluggish, constantly getting stuck and not registering the commands, becomes frustrating in the final boss timed sections. Developer has been r_et rd maxing when decided to put in RNG heavy timed boss fight into a puzzle game with horrible controls. Wishing for dev to stop making games, because he is not good at it, repent and turn his life to Jesus.

Terrible game. It's boring and slow, the main character moves with the agility and grace of a sack of mouldy bricks, and it's very buggy. I got stuck in a weird position with my character frozen about a dozen of times.
