Paper io 2

Paper.io 2 was originally released for mobile phones and on the web in 2019 as a free-to-play game. Few months back we received a pc port here on Steam for 4.99 euros + paid DLCs. I played Paper.io 2 when it originally released on my phone and as a mobile game i liked it. And here's the problem. This is a mobile game which in most cases should not be released on computers. But still if it was a complete copy of the mobile version i would give this a positive feedback, but it's not. This port has a few really big flaws for me. - You cannot choose a bigger resolution than 1920x1080 - Once you have bigger territory the game starts to stutter - You cannot fill the entire map to 100% you win after just 95% - Overpowered powerups, that only become more overpovered as you upgrade them. You can win by just collecting 2 powerups - Every map is exactly same in size, just a different shape - There are two settings, fullscreen and windowed, however fullscreen is actually borderless fullscreen, which for people with more monitors than one (like me) means that you will loose your cursor a lot, which results into death sometimes - Paid DLCs that are completely unnecessary, since the game a…

The balance is horrible. The godlike powerups are the main problem, followed by the extremely dumb and purposefully weak AI of the bots (yes, bots, there are no humans here). The game is fun for the first couple of hours, but it quickly snowballs into a god simulator, to a point of no fun at all. "Oh, you died? Here, have one of your free revives. Oh lord, you got a powerup?! Well now you pretty much instantly win. " It is clearly visible, that the game was purely made for a quick cash grab; there are barely any non-dlc skins, only three powerups, and zero gameplay diversity. The game doesn`t even have night mode, which is an obvious addition to a game which has a purely white background and menu. This a rare phenomenon, where the mobile version is actually better. Developers, you should be ashamed of yourself.
