Shadows of Elsewhen: Forbidden Alchemy A Haunting Puzzle Adventure in a world of forgotten Alchemy Step into the flickering candlelight of Shadows of Elsewhen, a first-person puzzle game where ancient alchemy meets a gripping murder mystery. Adventuring through the first chapter, you'll unravel the tragic fate of young Arriel—a brilliant alchemist whose life ended in shadows and secrecy, now the spectral guardian of a long-lost temple. Every chamber you explore whispers clues from the past, blending clever riddles with the thrill of detective work. Immerse Yourself in the Temple's Secrets The Cryptic Temple Elsewhen isn't just a backdrop—it's a living labyrinth of glowing elixirs and hidden vaults. Wander its echoing halls in first-person view, where every shadow hides a mechanism waiting to be decoded, revealing truths that deepen the mystery. Solve Puzzles That Blend Brain and Magic Manipulate intricate devices like alchemical sensors and rune-etched automata. Mix volatile potions and transmute base elements into keys that unlock forbidden doors. Piece together lost journals, spectral fragments, and overlooked relics to connect the dots. Was Arriel's death accident, betrayal, or something even more arcane? Designed for puzzle enthusiasts and story lovers alike, the game eases you in with intuitive controls and gentle hints, building to mind-bending challenges that feel earned. I have tried this a couple of times since release, but it's too jank for me. Very bad fps (below 20) much of the time, especially with the x-ray flame thingy you pick up (though potato mode helps a little, it's not a fix). Every aspect of the game is bugged, there are ghosts that are visible with earth goggles after you switch the goggle mode back and forth, there is an 'x-ray fire collection gun' that you're supposed to use to play minesweeper, but there is a number that increase until it doesn't fit the window it's shown in and a row of F's that keep rising out of bounds, I can't make sense of it. Same with books and notes, there are some pages where the writing goes on past the page. The music is too loud to hear the ghosts voices, and whenever someone is talking you cannot pause or access the options menu, you're just locked in place. You can only save manually. Without a manual save you have to start from the beginning. And saves appear to get corrupted or otherwise bug the game out even more, to the point where the world doesn't load, or you cannot access the devices or interact with anything. There have been a couple of fixes since release, but this game is far from read…
