About Alchemist: Journey of the Soul

You are a homunculus, created and summoned by him—the Alchemist. He speaks of distant lands and forgotten knowledge, traces of the ingredients for the ultimate alchemical creation: the Philosopher's Stone. He promised it holds the power to grant you a soul. And you? You’d do anything to make that happen.Craft, cook, and brew your way to power—stir the pot just right, and unlock incredible abilities unlike any you've seen. Driven by purpose and loyalty, you navigate through ancient castles and monasteries, where you face challenges. Use your logic and observation skills to get through the riddles.

Gather ingredients, find the right recipe and brew alchemical potions. But as you follow the trail to complete your adventure, you sense something is wrong. A truth buried under layers of alchemical lies... Are you willing to do whatever it takes to claim a soul of your own?

The puzzles were quite challenging, but some moves were way more difficult than any other game I'd ever played. My biggest gripe is the save game system. What's the point of having save files if your game doesn't start where you left off? Instead, you're set back 10 steps or so, having to re-solve some puzzles or remake moves that were difficult to time correctly the last dozen or so times. I enjoyed playing the game to an extent, but I would not recommend it to anybody unless you have a lot of patience, which is required for this game.

got this game for myself and my little brother to play and we really enjoyed it would highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys using their head and a cosy slower pace game to enjoy alone of with friends it was well made and if i had to say anything negative about it, i would say it leaves you wanting more when it ends. that can also be a positive thing.

Great game. I'm surprised I haven't seen this mentioned more, as I love the puzzle genre that often lacks quality and quantity. Puzzles are of a fine quality, the magic abilities just play into the puzzles too and as you unlock magical abilites, the maps open up more and more I really hope we see more of this series, and as a big fan of We Were Here, I hope we see a game that's more co-op focused as this is more similar to Escape Sim in that it can be done alone or done with friends.

Its a great game. I found the mix of the audio, gameplay elements, game loop and story to be well balanced out. The puzzles are not difficult, and the game progresses nicely. My only issue with this game was the lack of a sprinting function, so you have to walk everywhere. This on its own is not a big issue, but it gets annoying on some puzzles where you need to go back and forth. Aside from that I had a lot of fun.

Small team that makes wonders! If you have ever played "We were here" game series, you will get many similar vibes in gameplay and aesthetic I would say. Still this game feels unique on its own. I felt that there is as much content as I needed. I completed with my friend in around 5 hours by getting stuck a couple times in puzzles. Price is super nice comparing to the content. We didn't get bored, puzzles were wonderful and difficulty was increasing gradually. Although the puzzles were simple and usual (eg. put the pipes in line for the steam to pass), there were so many different puzzles and sometimes you should solve many at the same time, that get you absorbed in the story and the gameplay. Abilities were simple but exciting at the same time. Story was nice and made me wanna know more about the 2 homunculus and their fate after the end of the game. I didn't see any negative issues other than some minor glitches (on elevators while moving the second person was a few feet on the air or under the elevator floor). We had super fun, I totally recommend it and I am looking forward for the next project.
