About A Favor For The Alchemist
A Favor For The Alchemist is a short. escape room style puzzle game where you play as the apprentice to an alchemist. The alchemist's material condenser isn't working quite right, so they've tasked you with figuring out how to get it working again. Through exploring the room, deciphering the alchemist's notes, examining EVERYTHING closely, math, and some brainpower, you'll get the machine back up and running in no time!This game includes:
- Eight puzzles to solve within the room
- Mixing alchemy ingredients to draw out their effects
- A quiet, sunset environment to relax and puzzle-solve to
- No time limits (except for an achievement)
- No AI generated assets

Maybe I suck at basic math, but the math problem doesn't make sense, or I am missing something obvious. How you are supposed to arrive at -5 on the bottom row is beyond me. Tried every iteration I thought possible. No save system, so if you get stuck at any part and want take a break, well you can't. You either complete it in one go, or quit for good. This is coming from someone who played dozens of escape room games. Even if this ER was somewhat decent-ish, the pricetag is not warranted for the content. Refunded.1 found this helpful

This game was fantastic! If you enjoy escape room types of games then you are going to like this one. Too many puzzle games I've played have the majority of the puzzles leaning on the "easy" side. The puzzles here are tough but you feel like a genius when you solve them. Some advice for the puzzles here, think out side the box. Some of the answers to the puzzles are as easy as looking around :) A game well worth the price.1 found this helpful
